You literally told people to play it on an emulator, that isn't allowed due to piracy rules.
Wrong. Emulation it's legal.
Not allowed to discuss such things except in very specific scenarios. What users were told to do was considered discussing or encouraging piracy, which often will get people bans;

Helps to read the rules before posting, nothing was to "protect square" so much as the fact the material violated the rules.

Developers do not have the ability to ban reviews, only steam can do that

emulation is not illegal unless you start doing illegal stuff like pirating a game they are currently selling and ect ect (if someone is lawyer and has the energy to explain the full range please do as this individual is lacking some amount of education )

Is that really piracy though? My PS2 discs worked on PCX2. It's just that my computer is too old.
From your own disc and bios of your console, you're fine. That isn't what was said in the review.

To most people telling them to emulate it is seen as telling them to pirate. Like if you told someone to go download a movie that would be seen by most as encouraging someone to pirate it, not create a netflix account and download it for offline viewing even fi that was their intention.

Emulation software is legal, actually emulating is what usually is illegal. Telling someone to play a game on an emulator is actually telling someone to break the law in many cases.
not true. you can legally emulate a game so long as you have extracted the files your self from a disc or whatever was used around that time to store a game that YOU own if you do not own the game you are basically pirating it also it is illegal to use the files that YOU own on the internet for SOMEONE else's use i hope the clarifys what makes it illegal a little better

exactly it be fine if it was telling them to go buy the game and transfer the owned game to the emulator

One issue, to extract the files you have to break the DRM that is on the original hardware. Doing so is usually illegal even if you own the disc.

Except to run it you need something you cannot legitimately acquire; the BIOS. That's why such software can be used/put on Steam, but people cannot share such files nor say to put it in an emu. It breaks the rules, and the way it was said did not hint at any legal ownership, safe to say "Valve knows" for the intentions. Else, you review the game as is or can say "This ports performance is awful, playing on the PS2 has better performance" which is something someone would say that owns a PS2 and the original game on disc.
