SteamOS is based on ArchLinux which at the command line level uses the pacman program to MANage PACKages (installed programs). But since you're usually in the gui the manager is probably just called package manager somewhere in the start menu or settings panel. Once you actually find that program you typically(at least in other linuxes) checkmark the graphics driver(s) and then click apply to make it install them. If you have to dig at the admin command line to run pacman thats already too much effort but if you know what you're doing then go for it.

If instead your drivers are only available as rpm, deb or .tar.gz files then there's some installation guide somewhere that you need to study, read and know everything about before you can install them. Good luck.

sorry for the random necro. if anything, this can help others in the future.

official drivers are available through here: https://help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/view/6121-ECCD-D643-BAA8

however, the APU drivers might be a bit of an issue. if you are comfortable with going a third-party route, i suggest these drivers: sourceforge(.)net/projects/radeon-id-distribution/

when i ran windows of my SD, it helped with stabilization

also, be aware the wifi drivers are a bit borked (they might have updated since i used them, i can't remember) anyway, i hope this helps someone! :)
