[GUIDE] Use Origin instead of EA App

The problem

Everybody knows that the EA App is full of bugs and doesn't work well for most users, with the problems ranging from a couple of small annoyances to downright being unable to use the launcher at all! Origin has been the launcher for EA for a couple of years now, and has been better than EA App, if not great. After EA App was made Origin's "successor" by EA, the Origin app can no longer be used, with prompts to install EA App from Steam after every time a game is launched.

The solution

The solution to this is to say "♥♥♥♥ off EA!". Use the repo from the end of the post and have the ability to keep using the Origin app instead of or even with the EA App. How to use the repo, you say? Let's begin, shall we? There are two ways to make this happen:

1. Using the simple installer to patch Origin
   
2. Manually using the .dll file

1. Using the installer

From the Releases section of the repo, download and run the latest "♥♥♥♥_off_EA_App_installer.exe" file and follow the the prompts to the setup. After finishing, restart Origin.

2. Manually use the .dll file

If you want to manually do the patch without the installer, head to the Releases section and download the latest "version.dll" file and simply paste it in your Origin installation folder, by default "C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin". Restart Origin.

After using this repo, hopefully you will never get to see the awful prompts by Steam to install the EA App and will be able to use the Origin app as long as you wish! For more info, read the repo main page and the FAQ section of the repo, for answers to your most frequent questions.
