Regarding the whole Helldivers 2 PSN fiasco

I think it could possible put some fears and concerns to rest if Steam could give a semi detailed list of info that PSN would be able to access from our steam accounts.

Would it only be what we put on our PSN profile plus Helldivers 2? Or would it be everything we have tied to our steam accounts such as other non-sony related game, payment methods, chats etc...

Could a steam mod get that info and share please? Could relieve a lot of headaches.

Any relevant information would be when you go to create the PSN account, things such as when you agree to a "Privacy Policy" and "Terms of use" which is things most people don't bother to read.

Anything publicly viewable on your profile can be seen by anyone.

They only really get the account details like verified purchase of said game in question, country you are physically logging in from...

No payment methods, no Steam chat logs...

The only thing Valve really need to do is pull the game from sale in all regions where PSN is not provided, and to offer those customers full refunds.

Yea I understand that but I'm asking how it would affect my Steam and possibly other accounts. The reason I ask is a lot of people are saying its a huge security risk due to Sony's less than stellar cyber security history. If its just my email address, and the fact that I play hell divers 2 on the line Im down to do that but if it gives them access to info well past that then thats kind of a legit concern ya know? So I'm asking what info Steam shares with PSN if you make and link the account.

how is it a security risk? linking accounts doesn't share sensitive information such as login and passwords

As said, read the "Privacy Policy" and "Terms of Service" or any other relevant page they link to when you make accounts on sites, such as PSNs - when you go to create an account on the bottom between "Back" and "Next" is a constant "Terms/Privacy/Help/Site Map" which you can check at any moment you desire.

Moderators only moderate, they do not get involved.
Steam Employees also rarely ever post anywhere, and it's usually in very specific sections that is not this section. Generally, when using another account it associates the SteamID when linking and any relevant connection information to use to punish people for breaking the rules and the email associated with the psn account to psn.

Else, read those pages and find out.

Fair enough, guess I held steam mods in higher regard than reality. Ill go see if I can figure out whats what in a EULA. I appreciate you guys trying to help tho, even if the answers I got where not quite what I was looking for.

The paid 3rd party Moderators only duty is to clear the report queue.

Steam Employees may chime in if they want, but no matter what, it's going to anger people one way or the other which is why not getting involved and letting users answer is a better option unless it's in regard to something extremely specific that only Valve can answer.
