Hello I'm gamer from Libya 🇱🇾 it hurts me to see the old flag at the first I thought with the time steam will update Libya flag but It's been a while and nothing changes I hope steam team update my country flag

Is it the internationally recognized flag?
Or is it simply a flag you or a small group want to be used?
Not trying to be rude about it, but unless it's the internationally recognized flag it won't be added.

Hmm, it's interesting looking into it. I can't tell if the one used at the UN is referring to the red, black, and green one, or just the plain green one. The language is confusing when the UN says they're using "the old one". Seems like the UN recognises and uses the new flag you're talking about. So if the UN recognises it, so should Valve. I think Valve hasn't updated the flag because they're lazy and they probably don't have many Steam Libya users asking them to update it. National flags rarely, if ever change these days.

You could contact Steam support about it maybe? As evidence suggests this is just an out of date icon/UI issue. Nothing will change unless people mention the issue to Valve. I just don't know where besides Steam support that you would bring up the complaint. Or if they would even listen to just one person complaining about it.

OP is referring to that Libya is shown with the green flag used by Gaddhafi instead of the red-black-green flag. Gaddhafi's flag was scrapped after he was overthrown in 2011.

Steam's database of countries is quite outdated. The subdivisions it shows for Denmark is the ones that were abolished in 2006. Sucks that the database is so bad.
