I'm sixty years old and retro is my thing'. No issues whatsoever or ever!
So perhaps the problem is closer to home.
i can complain about w/e i want.
disabling windows updates and not getting your security updates, is not something anyone should be doing.
yup runs great on my end.
aside from microsoft re-enabling things, or installing things that i removed, luckily removing stuff is trivial and disabling things is easy, just more of a hassle.
that being said, even old hardware runs fairly well under win 11, i pulled 2 old laptops from my pile and installed win 11 pro on them, OS is fully on them along with enabling 23h2 (link below).

as well as my main rig (around 7 years old).

ya, windows 12 is AI focused, so unless i find ways to remove that stuff, i will likely be skipping that version.
its a decent OS, but nothing to write home about.
ya, i went through and did quite bit myself, as well as removing edge and its components, among other stuff.
You are told that you have to keep your system up to date when you create the account.

For reasons that include, without limitation, system security, stability, and multiplayer interoperability, Valve may need to automatically update, pre-load, create new versions of or otherwise enhance the Content and Services and accordingly, the system requirements to use the Content and Services may change over time.
Contrary to what most of you complaining about this think your OS is part of your system requirements, just like any other part of your PC.
PC's are not consoles. You can't sit on the same hardware and software for years and expect everything to work, nor can you expect companies to support your aging hardware and software forever.
win7 is trash compared to 11
And compared to Windows XP, the best windows of all times, all modern Windows is trash and has no functions comparedt to the literally 1 Billion function of WinXP.
Funny how times have changed...!
the first Windows in ages that didn't cause me random problems like I had on 10 before its final feature upgrade.
Windows XP has functions i didn´t even know it has them integrated until this day. You just notice it,when you see that modern Windows cannot do this.
remember in the past you could have several Task Managers open. Or several Windows Settings-screens. But i don´t mean these functions.
Same goes for Office btw. Modern Office cannot do some functions which old Office-programs had. Same goes for Photoshop.
Modern Photoshop is just a joke. A bad one.
Btw: it´s ~395 days remaining. time is slowly running up.
I just heard the app for Switch called "F-Zero 99" also has online-problems now (connectivity issues which is why they just did an update, downgrading the game´s functions so it´s no longer working like original game). This application will soon stop working completely is my prediction for this.
You all have ~395 more days to prepare for the worst. And hope for the best.
I even just made another prediction (doing them on a daily base now):
90% of worldwide solar-systems might fail as well (mainly those hanging on a cloud-service and/or having to rely on updates and not working seperately, i mean stuff relying on Tibber and similar cloud-services will fail/malfunction completely).and 99% of all worldwide Power-generators (those with too modern components such as PD, complex chips, Life-Po4-Batteries etc) will begin to fail/malfunction when the day is there, as well.
Crazy times we live in indeed. I wonder what will happen to Smartwatches when the final day has been reached...
Another prediction i made about touchscreens (i said after 2025 Nov/Dec all touchscreens relying on modern OSes will stop working):
A few days ago i had to take a photo fo rsomething. And what i noticed is that the touchscreen on that automatic Photo-Device had issues, detecting my input...Which is exacly what i predcited as "phase 4" (Touchscreen-input issues).
It took 3, 5 or even 10 tries to input my information on that automatic photo-machine to detect my touchscreen-touches. Annoying.
But exactly why i said this issue is dangerous. Because in the end any e-car will face these issues too. any touchscreen will be literally useless when it takes 100 tries for the device to detect your finger´s touches.
Edit: Also worth mentioning that the software worked on the same computer when it had Win 10. Especially with compatibility mode applied, but it still functioned without. After the update to 11, even full removal followed by reinstalling did not seem to do anything; the main portion of the software just doesn't seem to launch. First attempts usually result in a runtime error notification, whilst later attempts just yield a black screen. Fair to say that something isn't the same between 10 and 11, and that did some old software in.
It is possible in Windows XP to have more than one taskmanager open though. Not possible in later versions.
Btw:
"And? Are you going to tell us the title of exactly which software you are referring to that you claim won't work in Windows 11? "
Not that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ again! It´s time to ignore you!
