Have you ever had fun playing an early access games before it was completed.
Nova Drift is still early access, so is beat hazard 3, elemental Survivors, soulstone Survivors, and yet I've got my money's worth out of all of them.

I want to see them completed but I'm happy with the time I played them.

The journeys with them have been enjoyable enough.

Satisfactory is the gold standard for early access if you're an enormous sperge lord. (I am an enormous sperge lord).

Prison Architect and Factorio are the two that immediately come to mind, though both of them did end up fully releasing.

:plumphelmet: Dwarf Fortress, :happiestmask: Risk of Rain 2, and :rl2sit: Rogue Legacy 2 immediately leap to mind, though there are certainly others I was grateful for the decision.

This game has felt like a full game the moment I bought it 2 years ago, and it only gets better as they make new updates.

I think some games work well with early access because the games are designed in a such a way where you feel like you got a full game, a complete experience, you don't feel like anything is actually missing while you are playing.

Someone mentioned Satisfactory is the gold standard for Early Access, I think Travellers Rest is also the gold standard.

The early access is good if you are wanting a game with lots of attention from the devs to fix what you think is wrong with the game.

Early access is bad from the standpoint of wanting an unchanging game that only is what it is advertised and reviewed as being.

I think the middleground is an MMO, where the game is done, but they update them (either via expansions or free updates).

Nothing wrong with any of them, just important to pick the one you want.
I loved the Early Access version of "Blazblue Entropy Effect". It had its ups and downs but it was more often good than not. I can't stand it starting with 1.0 and beyond.

"Metal Unit" is a game I've enjoyed in early access and its full release. "30XX" and "Oblivion Override" are games I've enjoyed in early access and still fire up occasionally whenever I feel like it. "Frontier Hunter - Erza's wheel of fortune" was a lot of fun too, but not worth returning to until more content drops.

And I'm awaiting the early access for "Detained - too good for school". It's a game whose journey to 1.0 I would like to be a part of.

Yep. I enjoyed Slay the Spire, Griftlands, Card Hog, etc before they got their 1.0 release.

A good game is a good game, I don't care about the label.

ARK, My Time at Portia and 7 Days to Die just to name a few games I absolutely enyojed from the beginning.
There's been quite a few games I've enjoyed which have been in Early Access. These are some of my favourites of top of me head, V Rising, Enshrouded, Subnautica + Sub Zero, Grounded.

I had fun with Planet Crafter in early access. Then an update during development made it not run in Windows 7 any more.

I've had no complaints about Dyson Sphere Program.

Wreckfest, The Long Dark and Portal Knights come to mind.

Roboquest was fun from what I played of it.

Thronefall is interesting and I need to get back to it as I haven't played it since the last update.
