Why would you lock topics that are 2-3 months old in the BETA forum? what is you fricking issue Connie? jesus heck, no wonder Steam is getting worse and worse when Mods lock and delete topics.

get a grip.

Its funny how its the same stuff with new moderators, just going around locking topics because they didn't have a reply for a day (yes I make a point here, duh).
How about you deal with reviews and groups that break ToS instead of being useless mods?

Not sure what discussions you're looking at, but only 7 were locked in the General Discussions field of the Beta forums since Jan of this year, all from posts that started in 2016/2017 and not relevant to today.

I said they were locked recently, not created recently. You do not decide what is relevant, your opinion on that is as valuable as anyone else's.

Yep, now if there was something of value being added to a 3 month old thread then personally I might not lock it as its borderline. But bumping it and adding nothing of value I can't blame a mod for locking it

Valve probably should simply auto-lock any thread that have not been replied to past 3 months. No more necroing and confusing people and steam moderators and support could instead use that time to deal with more pressing moderation issues.

I've seen that feature in other places. And when I see that feature, I think of how Steam Forums doesn't have it. Steam Forums doesn't even have a mass unsubscribe feature AFAIK, or else I wouldn't be getting an occasional ping from a zombified thread.

Ofcourse, a major player in the issue is Valve's general apathy of their forums; only two developments that come to mind over the past few years are the forums falling under the blanket coverage of the Steam Awards system, and Valve changing out their moderation. I could see how they tried on both accounts... just not enough for them not to backfire.

I doubt. When mods lock threads you can check their post history and see for how long they've been around. I don't know about this Connie but most of them are old enough to generate confusion :WH3_greasus_rofl:

honestly I never learned how to do that one interesting looks like I fell into that one of missing the dates at the top
