Stellar Blade for PC

I know that the South Korean community is more focused on PCs, and Stellar Blade is made by a Korean company, and I would really like to play that game on PC.

They backpedalled because they launched without the need for a PSN account then added it later, which upset people who'd already been playing the game. There's nothing to backpeddle if they launch with a PSN requirement in the first place.

They haven't removed if as a requirement to play Ghost of Tsushima's multiplayer element.

Yeah, let's not forget that Sony hero shooter that had a beta too a week ago. Concord. The PSN requirement was a nail on it's coffin. Didn't stop Sony from requiring it even if the game is as good as dead now.

The idea that Sony wouldn't require Stellar Blade on PC to have a PSN account is a gamble. Like 50/50. Only because it's a single player game. If Stellar Blade had any online features you could bet Sony would force online play for it as well like they've done with everything since Hell Divers 2.

Well, there is no confirmation it's coming to Steam yet. Imagine if it's an Epic Game Store exclusive? People would be pissed.

Well, I suppose it will need some time. They might want to bring in Sweet Baby to make the game accessible to western audiences, and updates to graphics, story and voice acting needs time.

I think there’s a push now to start bringing out PlayStation games on PC faster than usual. Unless it’s like a first party, Studio, or games like Astrobot. But stellar blade was a timed exclusive so the game is probably already finished to be released on PC right? Usually time exclusives are a few months?

Yes, they are the publishers, but this is not a Sony owned studio. This was a timed exclusive am I right? I don’t think they are going to require you to have a PSN account for PC. Because Sony doesn’t own shift up, does it?

yes but it doesnt take 4 years. it only takes sony 4 years to give the okay because they need money. its the thing that has gamers beating their heads on the wall when dealing with sony. xbox while being as bad as sony at least understand consoles are dying and is moving to the app/store. sony doesnt understand most people arent having kids and most people 30+ are sick of the console war and opt for just pc. the point is you can predict market changes and such things to matter.

with sony they dont want it on steam because you can see the number of players and sales. they have an agenda that has nothing to do with games. alot of us are just skipping stellar blade even if it comes to pc because we want the bs to stop. we just want great games agian.

I hope it does. I want consumers to have options. Also, I think EGS is more anti-consumer these days.

But from some developer's or publisher's perspectives. EGS offering them money for a timed exclusive (like 6-12 months) is just free money. The game will come out later on Steam to the same amount of sales is probably what they're thinking. Even though truthfully, the temp exclusivity will probably burn some customers on Steam and they'll never buy the game as a result.

Sony are the publisher. Unless Sony allows Shift Up to self publish on PC (that is, their publishing agreement only covers PlayStation platforms), this will be under Sony's label and subject to their PSN requirements.
