Wow! The Valve Mods Sure Love To Abuse Their Power!
A friend made a thread pointing out that the valve mods will instant-ban anyone pushing back against hate speech.
Apparently linking TO FORUM POSTS is 'Naming & shaming'; My friend was instantly banned for 2 weeks within 2 minutes of making the thread.
Banned for providing tangible, undoctor-able evidence via safe, unalterable links to the actual steam forums.

That means the valve mods were basically refreshing this forum, explicitly looking for threads proving their corruption and biased moderating, in order to shut them down ASAP and silence any and all criticism towards them.

Go look at the Hades 2 forums; There are multiple threads where people are attacking 'the left' and making homophobic or transphobic posts.
It happened with Marvel's Avengers, too. And the Dead Space remake. And liyerally every game to launch on this toxic cesspit in the last 5+ years.
What happens? The threads are locked, without the posters being punished. Usually days after the thread/posts were made.
But if someone happens to push back against their alt-right rhetoric, conspiracy theories, and outright lies? Instant, unconditional bans within an hour of posting!

It's abundantly clear that the valve mods openly try their best to avoid punishing alt-right nutjobs in any meaningful way, while jumping on anyone who pushes back as quickly as possible.

Valve forums are a disgusting cesspool, where the alt-right holds sway & drowns out any and all meaningful discussions on any new game launch these days.
And it's all the valve mod's faults.

O, we’re moving on from Starfield and BG3 to Hades 2 now.

We have people complaining about mods supporting both "alt-right" and "alt-left". So I am not sure we can say they are keeping any side.

They are just slow and inconsistent.

Making identical things repeatedly on multiple accounts does tend to go poorly. Didnt the other one claim they dont go against 'alt right' stuff?

Anyway, half a dozen or more of the same thing is spam, so "friend" or alt, best to let it go.

I think you're mixing my friend and I up with someone else; He made one thread, and I decided to chime in when when he was instantly banned within minutes.
So there has not been 'a half dozen or more' posts from us.

Yep! If any game launches these days; The alt-right rum screaming in to post attacks on everyone.
Because they always get away with it, as the valve mods protect them.

stop posting and reading political and racial threads on the steam forum, just stop. and your friend. then 100% chance to never get banned for "chiming in"

I'd 'report and move on', as people love to say...But that does not work when valve mods have a proven track record of ignoring certain kinds of posts when they are reported. Or otherwise using the softest touch possible, so the posters can do it again.

We've seen many instances of the other individual posting, getting hit, and the friend coming out of nowhere within a minute to have an issue with what happened to their 'friend'.

What friends would do is say "Reply to the Community Message", not try to post on their behalf, multiple times.

dont even report and move on, just move on.. or better still dont even click the thread, you know what its going to be from the thread title.. just use the game section forums for game related info.

replying to the community message does nothing, they are told never reply.

To be fair, I made a thread literally called "steam support exposed" with screenshot evidence included and the thread is still there now.

Game hubs are moderated by the devs or by mods they appoint.
Steam support only gets involved if the devs opt in for Steam supports help.

simply put steam support is like steam, both aren't needed to game, you can have steam without support that works just as its intended to, you can have computer games that play without steam just as they are intended to.

steam with steam support is a burden to video gamers. Personally due to the issues with steam support being so bad and unhelpful i made a choice to never put money into steam or to be a customer.

I am perfectly happy being a free steam user, playing free games and enjoying myself, no support is needed for any of that. of course we will get blow back from a few angry steam employee's that are at risk of being fired because they do nothing for real customers.

incidentally if we had A.i. Handle steam support they would most likely not run into a ticket queue time because A.i. Can process things much faster then lazy steam support.

what steam moderation is in my imagination, are some extremely gross individuals with bad self c care enthusiasm that even their own mothers have to tell them to stop playing on the computer an get a shower, clean their room, and take out the trash.

I could really careless at what level steam support and it moderation feels offended, my suggestion is do better so that peoples outlooks change.

Currently i don't feel either are needed for steam to become a better place.

A computer can generate the wrong answer very quickly. That doesn't mean it's correct or useful.

And I wouldn't say that a group of people tasked with answering millions of support tickets a week are "lazy".

You argue in political based flame bait threads and you'll get banned sooner or later. Being overly argumentative with others is just how it happens. You're going to get reported by the people when you do it. If they claim to be the types who hate cracking down on speech or that they think everyone is too sensitive these days it won't matter. Those types of people never practice what they preach and report like crazy. It doesn't matter though, because argumentation is why you'll get banned. It's hard to tell people they're wrong without eventually insulting their intelligence.

Also, Steam mods work on a warning system most of the time unless your first offense is particularly bad. Warnings act as a criminal record of sorts and the next warning will be a ban. You shouldn't presume just because others aren't banned meant they weren't caught by the system.
