The developer, publisher decides where their game releases.
Valve owns Steam. Steam is a program.
I think Hades 2 (if you are counting that as major game) is presently only available on Steam, but that's probably because it's an early access release. Not many other stores opt into early access.

Hades 2 is on EGS too.
To the OP question, there are over 30k games on Steam that are exclusively on Steam, including a ton major games like Elden Ring, Monster Hunter and a ton more.
isthereanydeal and look if a game is sold anywhere else (aka not for steam).
if only a steam Link (or keys) appear, then you could say that those are exclusive.
God point you have.....without consoles 90% of the PC games would not exist at all ;)
The developer, publishers decide which PC platform or platforms their games are on as Valve do not approach developers, publishers to put games exclusively on Steam.
Epic on the other hand have their anti-consumer exclusivity policy.
Don't care much for this...
Steam doesn't pay publishers to be exclusive, but that doesn't mean publishers have to sell through other shops or even platforms too.
Didn't pop up in my search results then. Must be because I don't have an EGS account and am not frequenting their shop. Well, the more you know.
