I am so sick of Early Access games and NO one releasing full games anymore

I used to be super excited about early access when it was first implemented but now I realized it just gives people the chance to make half ass games and not ever complete them or give them attention. Just a simple money grab.

What is an Early Access title?

(It does not get any clearer than).

"Get instant access and start playing; get involved with this game as it DEVELOPS".

"This Early Access game is NOT COMPLETE and MAY OR MAY NOT CHANGE FURTHER. If YOU are not excited to play this game in its CURRENT STATE, then YOU should WAIT to see IF the game progresses further in DEVELOPMENT".

Is waiting a problem?

AAA games do not have that disclaimer.

Adding an EAG to your cart and clicking confirm is a VOLUNTARY action, not a mandatory one, therefore you receive the product as is at the point in time you clicked confirm and that is also applicable to AAA games.

The problem isn't Early Access, plenty of games are released as full releases. But you are right in that a growing number are released in broken or not-fit for purpose states without publishers caring to fix them.

Perhaps if you mentioned the type of games you're looking for, someone can suggest something that is worth playing?

The number isn't growing. UIt's always been a thing. The relative percentage has remained about the same.

Plenty of games come out of early access actually. Not all of them, but I have yet to see one which was fully abandoned myself. Some spend a year or two in early access, others 5 or more... but they still seem to reach 1.0 and beyond more often than not.

there is some good games and some crappy games like op said no longer gets updated. but then again by the looks of it 7 days to die will be the last game on my early access games coming out of early access. all my other early access games is passed the version 1.0.

currently i pretty much only buy early access if the game looks really promising and if one or more of my steam friends have it
