I hate 32 bits only games
i have played team fortress for a long time in a old mac my friend had and though of getting one for school and gaming(since i only play team fortress) and found out my newer mac can’t run because apple on supports 64 bits and i think valve should start making 64 bits for their older games

TF2 just made it 64Bit for Windows and Linux.

For Mac tough? That might not happen.

I dont think its "hating" just usually a "dont worth the effort".
MAC gaming is such a small niche nowadays that many publishers dont even try to make any effort porting their stuff for native MAC support.
It is what it is.

Like 90% of MAC users i know use Bootcamp to play their games on Windows.

i love your opinion but valve sadly is becoming one of them creators cs go is a example and i think team fortress 2 is next by the 64 bit version for windows and linux
Should complain to apple since they are the ones screwing with developers, especially those who don't exclusively develop for their walled in ecosystem.

valve could at least add a 64 bit to mac instead of only adding to windows and linux

32 bit games just exist.
if you need something/someone to hate you might want to pick your OS for dropping support of 32bit libs. you willingly use OS that won't support 32bit
It's not worth the effort since it's a small amount of users and apple keeps making it more and more difficult. Odds are valve will not be supporting Mac with their games going forward unless something drastic changes.

sadly its truth but people on mac should at least have some games supported from them made by valve its kinda frustrating see creator stop making mac supported games

Again, you should direct your complaints to apple for making it difficult for developers.

If you have a small user base and it is hard to get something working on your platform then you can't really :surprised pikachu face: when developers choose to ignore your platform.

That's your fault for using a Mac

Times change. They added support and it was great. Apple has changed a lot over the last fifteen years so that support can end.

Valve and other developers/publishers aren't beholden to every decision Apple makes. Or to offer perpetual support for aging games on a platform that itself doesn't seem to care much about maintaining backwards compatibility.

Apple makes decisions, Valve makes decisions. If you don't like them, you might need to rethink your choices in platforms.

Or apple could've just not axed x32 support and everyone would've been fine as-is.

It's way smaller of a playing market than Linux, and Proton allows the ability to play windows based things but not max, so it's a win-win for those 2 operating systems; x32 support or ability in proton to run windows stuff.

shouldn't be using macs for gaming, apple keeps making steps to restrict things including no x32 support.

32bit support is being dropped en masse on ARM atm. And Intel macs are just EOL so they don't matter.
