For Mac tough? That might not happen.
MAC gaming is such a small niche nowadays that many publishers dont even try to make any effort porting their stuff for native MAC support.
It is what it is.
Like 90% of MAC users i know use Bootcamp to play their games on Windows.
if you need something/someone to hate you might want to pick your OS for dropping support of 32bit libs. you willingly use OS that won't support 32bit
If you have a small user base and it is hard to get something working on your platform then you can't really :surprised pikachu face: when developers choose to ignore your platform.
Times change. They added support and it was great. Apple has changed a lot over the last fifteen years so that support can end.
Valve and other developers/publishers aren't beholden to every decision Apple makes. Or to offer perpetual support for aging games on a platform that itself doesn't seem to care much about maintaining backwards compatibility.
Apple makes decisions, Valve makes decisions. If you don't like them, you might need to rethink your choices in platforms.
It's way smaller of a playing market than Linux, and Proton allows the ability to play windows based things but not max, so it's a win-win for those 2 operating systems; x32 support or ability in proton to run windows stuff.
shouldn't be using macs for gaming, apple keeps making steps to restrict things including no x32 support.
