"public forum"
i got the same type of answer when i asked someone to "please, block and ignore me", because they would let me use the forum, without their input/interjection, they simply had to make arguments of my comments, which is common in these forums, even for an opinion lol.
Do you even have Facebook or twitter? If so, then you would know what a complete block is. Steam version isn't it.
I know. And I've said it before the block function works on Steam just like on Twitter in the places Steam works like Twitter. Like your activity feed.
"I believe public forums should behave this way" is basically what you're saying
they don't all have to be that way. as shown by reddit
Also, imagine support having to study your specific set of 500 options and having to recall/know all the interactions to see why you might be having the problem you think you're having.
neither can interact or even know that they are there.
that being said, options are always a good thing.
Anyway block is useless in my opinion, I dont want handicap on myself, but unable the person to interact with me, like not even talk to me.
They could but what purpose would it serve?
Someone blocks, but goes back and reads a reply, gets more butthurt and keeps the flame war going. It doesn't help the situation at all and totally negates the block system.
Its good as it is.
well, my situation is a bit different, but im not gonna bring it up, or i may find arguments being made.
sure there are some cool peeps, but there is quite a bit of issues in this place.
