PC gaming not cheaper than consoles years later
Third time upgrading and third time spending more money to completely rebuild it. Pretty much 4060 and 12600kf with a new cooler for the new Mobo of course that need a PCIE not ssta nvme. About 600+... (Excluding HDD and power supply issues) The PS5 is way better value for price? 70 dollars a year is obviously nothing when you consider upgrading every 2-3 years.

i loved the wii, it was a shame when they removed youtube from the wii to push ads, they are doing the same with youtube on smart phones and tablets, already android 4.0 will not run youtube app, however it will work on the browser.

the industry itself has caused a lot of product death and electronics graveyards just because they want to keep profiting.

PCs are never going to be cheaper than consoles if you want to have the best visual quality possible or want to play the most recent of games at a decent framerate. That's always been the nature of PC gaming.

PC's have never been cheaper to build than a console, ever. They do offer you to upgrade over time little by little. Only time a large investment is required is First ever build, or generation change. Look how long AM4 lasted. Came out in 2016, supported all the way from 1000 series Ryzen to 5000 series. That's how you upgrade a PC.

No idea why you'd build a lower end setup than available now though, you're now stuck on a dead platform, should have went DDR5 if you're upgrading some.
My PC is several years old and was a refurbish when I bought it, works great for it's age, there is technically no reason to upgrade, wait a few years for the upgrade to be worth the cost, you do not need the newest games, I have yet to really have a problem running anything on my custom built PC, it's surprisingly old but boasts enough power to 3d model software and game

Whoever said PC gaming was cheaper?

If you want the absolute very best gaming experience you use PC.

The PC hardware will always be more expensive. The games will be cheaper if you wait for sales. Wait long enough and you'll get the games for free. That's where you save money if that's what you want.

Considering that consoles are intentionally sold at a loss because they make money by selling you the game you are forced to buy to make any use of the console, it'd be strange if PC hardware which is not sold at a loss was cheaper.

Do consoles still charge for online play for most MP titles?

M'dude... just dial down the graphics settings a tad and you'll be fine.
TYOu don't have to run at Ultra max settings.
PC gaming will be more expensive if one keeps trying to have the latest and greatest tech.

Yes. Yes they do. I always prefer PC over Console because PC is cheaper, tbh...

PC: Can upgrade any part of it
Console: Stuck with bix fot 6 years
Please continue

Consoles are generally stuck on 30 FPS or lower. PCs are way past that unless the game restricts to 30 or 60. Or if it's highly unoptimized. Like Dragons Dogma 2 that runs pretty poorly even on high end systems.

So yes while out setups are a bit more expensive we get more out of it.

There was a time when consoles were outclassed by pre-built PCs in terms of budget to power ratio. I remember it being a talking point like ten-ish years ago. But I think that argument has long since died after crypto mining raised GPU prices/demand.

Why do you think the term "console peasants" is used?
