Interesting problem with steams review fraud
Its just been discovered that Steams Review Fraud is real,
the reality of this is reflected directly on the developers page showing the follower users.

200k reviews of a product with only 5000 follows of the developer is very suspicious steam is not doing enough to cover up the review fraud they are committing for profit in the reflected marketing of reviews they are providing.

we as customers expect better steam, please stop disappointing your paying customers by continuing to engage in this fallacy

Updated Content of the topic

the use of bots in the steam review system suggest there is a loop hole somewhere within the owning the game and being a full time account on steam.

two and really only two methods seem approachable.

method 1. is Independent from steam the game developers are creating there own 100K Bots and steam accounts awarding the games on steam to them. which would cost them an awful lot of money due to the fact steam would get 30% of the profit.

method 2. is steam is behind the mass review fraud, steam awards the games for free to the bot accounts in effort from the developers over looking payment in exchange for upticks to create a popularity contest drive market.

method 2 seems the most cost effective, it does two things, it helps the developer get attention, and creates a fake population of users on steam that helps support the narrative of 30 million users. without it steams review system would surprisingly small which can be actually noticed on 1000's of games that have less then 5000 reviews, notable games that have been on steam for years, created by well known gaming studios.

it is ironic that here are all the same steam people trying to hard to cover up the facts. yes you are all known to me, yes i enjoy your comments all across the forum threads, i see them all posted very often, and yes i identify most of you as Steam.

Due to the policies you engage in , the actions of words you seek to try and enforce and the over all heated mood of the replies made.

lets put our personal opinions aside of one another, and focus on Method 2.

Steam being purposely controlled and manipulated by a illegal review bot farm could have some serious implications of lawsuits against steam.

Odd comment based on you posting as alts on your own thread in fact:

Your history of spamming, bypassing bans, and abusing the Steam Rules & Guidelines is well documented. We won't be removing any bans associated with that behavior.

And:

i make it a personal goal to get banned almost every day, so i can just load up another free throw away steam account and upset the same 20 people so they have a mental meltdown and cry to steam support.

That explains a lot

2,000+ games and a smallish wishlist of 50 or so.

I am following 3. Mostly because following its just subjecting yourself to spam.

The conspiracy theories are ridiculous.

Sounds like a steam problem, the level of scripted narrative is extremely high, also it's nice steam likes to give attention to topics like this and purposely attempt to detail them with false accusations , the fact the developers aren't followed leads to more questions.

Questions I'm sure steams small and what looks a tiny minority of people on a huge platform seem to defend as if it was a job, all the posting i do is for free, to help those who get foolishly betrayed by corporate scamming.

Nobody is suggesting everyone follows developers, how ever steam boosts some extremely low % of marginalized uses of the platform, super low forum us, super low developer following but some massive % of market manipulation reviews, so yes the speculation of steams lies is super high.

Logically it's illogical to consider what's going on with steam anything but a criminal attempt to create profit and for steams internal forum control to wanna try and hide it.

Remember you can't get rid of me, and I'm not going away, I'm here to make your life more honest and truthful to the customers you want to profit from

Nothing odd about being kind to others and hoping to provide a deeper look into the mind of steam, what's odd is wanting to give your money to steam, own a collection of games you never play and then, use the forum way more often then steams tiny demographic of forum users, i find that odd.

I don't have 1000s of games on my steam list, so yeah comparing it to someone who does raises alarming questions.

Let's for a second remember why steam has a forum,,to discuss things like review fraud, not blindly accept it as normal when there is nothing normal about 100k reviews on a game when steam for decades struggled to have a few 1000 for majority of all it's games.

Yes deep probing steams review system the biggest review fraud game is csgo 2. Question for yourself who owns the game and then why the review fraud happens

And yet you and all your alts have yet to even actually provide any real evidence of fraud, nor have you even truly tried to "discuss" the issue you've made up in your head.
if people use adblockers and manage to get onto steam with $50 to spend....

does steam have to worry where people spend it on here... even if you ban
and block all those games and accounts and fake things and non fake things...

- that $50 is going to get spent and $15 is going to go steam...

and the customer can refund a game that doesnt match
the reviews they read and buy something else....

but if you dont know how to use adblockers...
you probably dont have money
to spend on steam anyway....

It's kind of ironic almost 20% of the replies in the thread come from the same single user. Then we get threads about Steam staff astroturfing with bot accounts.

Some acussations are veiled confessions.

Adblockers literally do nothing on Steam.
