i just started pc & steam gaming a couple of days ago. before, i played on switch and one of my favourite games was stardew valley. any others like it on pc?

very fun like stardew valley, but with more stuff.

not to mention, you can play with several characters (ie.. create and use them on the same worlds, also character save files) and move (like moving from your house to another) too, farm and loot, or use as a storage unit for all your hoarded loot in new worlds (save files).. you can even terraform the whole map (an infinite map).

farm, raise cattle,level your characters and pets (that help fight or give skill boosts), mine resources, build bases, build tracks with mine carts across the map, battle loads of enemies and bosses, ect.. ect..

and it has co-op.

its very much imho, a great game, that isnt seen as much due to low advertising on the store front.

i bought on sale, but the asking price to me is quite worth it for the game.

its also steam deck verified.

Hmm, I see a lot of good suggestions already. Can't go wrong with old Story of Seasons games, which used to be called Harvest Moon back in the day. Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town being Concerned Ape's biggest inspiration for Stardew if I had to guess.

I enjoyed Core Keeper and seen it suggested here, it has farming/fishing/art style/camera angle like Stardew, though it falls more into the Terraria gameplay loop (of conquering boimes and bosses) rather than the Harvest Moon gameplay loop of being economy/time management driven.

But anyway, my recommendation is this

It's like Stardew Valley combined with Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Time passes like Stardew rather than mirroring IRL like Animal Crossing. It's Australian themed too.

oh ya, its been called the "dark themed" stardew valley

i love corekeeper too, and the other games i mentioned.

and the others below, not all are "stardew valley" per say, but all have the same elements, ie.. farming, building, combat, some with mining, others simply gathering loot, some have a bit more... (but some also have stuff that stardew valley recently added in its update).

all in all, they all basically do the same things, but different art styles, story lines and a few other differences, all are also pixel games, with one exclusion being the sequel to "survivalist", being a i would say.. a comic book like pixelish graphics imo.

Space haven is much far apart from Stardew but I wholeheartedly recommend. It is very sandbox in nature but its a very interesting experience with ship building and base management
