The only issue I am having right now is Notifications not loading- either the page takes forever to load or every one is showing a game icon with ".." where the title and lede text normally is. So I am guessing there are some random server issues going on right now. I am on Stable Client only (not logged in on an outside browser), so I can only relate what I am experiencing, and have no suggestions other than to wait and see (which sucks, I know,)
Notifications are completely broken, and have been for a long time on multiple platforms. Those for whom it still works are lucky.
I'm pretty sure you can keep running with the firewall enabled by adding all the steam binaries to the list. I'm assuming steam either updated the exe/binaries so they no longer match the rules, or added new binaries that can't connect to steam because the firewall didn't register them.
Not your fault, of course. steam is a bug riddled, overcomplicated mess.
