Why do bans on a Game Hub, also affect the Workshop?
I was banned from a game hub, now a long while ago. I was told by a moderator there, that the Workshop is not all affiliated, and totally separated from the Developer and game hub, yet, i'm banned from there as well.

Coming back to the game after a hiatus, there's a matter i need to talk to a modder, i've supported in the past, yet cannot post there. Obviously, the moderator of the game hub, lied (no surprise btw).

Shouldn't the Workshops be separated from the Game Hubs?

Again, understandable, but if the Developer is continually saying they have nothing to do with mods or the workshop, then i would think they have nothing to do with it.

Apparently, they have everything to do with it.
A developer is just a human, they too can be ignorant about what they can or cannot do. Not all developers read up on all things, just as not all users/consumers read up on store page warnings either.

Likely to avoid banned users uploading abusive content in retaliation.

You have to comply with the TOS in order to use community features.

Oh i see. Well i get that, but what does that have to do with posting an issue or having to communicate with the modder?

In fact the modder has his own hub to report issues, yet, can't post there either

People getting banned and then proceeding to be gigantic asshats in such places is why these restrictions were put in place, if I'm not mistaken.

The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Understood. Not a problem.

Aye. I can understand you that it might be a tad frustrating.

It's not new. You cannot vote on workshop content in you have a VAC ban either.

Can I vote on Steam Workshop content in the game I have been VAC banned from?
No. VAC bans prevent voting within the game where the VAC ban occurred. VAC bans on an account also prevent voting in Free to Play games and their communities.

https://help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/view/647C-5CC1-7EA9-3C29

Why?... because people were using their VAC banned accounts to rage and downvote everything.

The developer has nothing to do with it. They didn't lie, not knowing isn't lying.

It's part of the punishment that goes with the ban.

Posting is a privilege, ban = privilege is taken away.

Right, i mean, if you're gonna hear, every day, of every other post, that "it's your mods stupid', that makes sense.

But then the questions is, why do you allow modding, if every problem is due to these mods, even having a Workshop, having the very mods you tell us are breaking the game?

"We have nothing to do with mods, or the Worskhop. For that, you need to speak to the Modder".

Great, but you banned me from speaking to him, on a Workshop you just told me there is no affiliation LOL.

Anyhow, your answer the most reasonable one, and i marked it. Thank you.

Just because you may be able to get away with some pretty spicy posts in OT doesn't mean you can insult developers and not expect punishment.

You being banned has nothing to do with the mods. So if you get banned and it causes issues then the simple solution is to follow the rules so you don't get banned.

They don't have a clue at all what they're doing. And i'm being charitable in believing that. I'll leave it there.

They obviously do judging by the title of this thread.

Note they did not 'lie' to you

You are CORRECTLY banned yet again from ATS2 forums

This DOES NOT impact your ability to use the Workshop

This DOES impact the DISCUSSION and COMMENTS section in the Workshop
