Lately, I've been getting too many friend requests from strangers or even bots who leave a comment on my profile to accept them as a friend.
With this discussion, I believe that the method of adding friends on steam should be changed. For example, a friend request can be sent to me by friends of my friends and people I want as friends, so I send them a request. That way there would be less fraud and Steam would make things easier for itself.

just set your comments to friends only and autoblock random invites, changing how friend requests work isnt necessary

By advertising 3rd party scam sites you're showing the scammers that you're probably an easy target

Privacy settings do not stop invites.
