Why is the view recent players so busted.

Half the time it doesn't show recent players. I miss the old ui where it actually worked.

It's under the "View" context-menu in the top left of the Steam Client:

Depending on if the game supports it, you may or may not see a comprehensive list of recent players there, I agree that at one point this list used to be much more reliable than it is today though.

Well TF2 has it but it works when it feels like it.
