Age Limit?
Does STEAM have a lowest age limit. Here in UK there is talk about age limitations on smart phones Too many children are being mentally polluted by access to what I would term as as over 15 or 18 software. STEAM should not be censoring games (if they do) as such but access. I do not agree with pornography in games of any age group; I find it insulting intelligence. I do know that there is not that many in here who would agree with me, but I woulds like to hear your reasons. And why do ladies have big bums and bigger knockers???

Easy.

Your sensibilities shouldn't determine what other people enjoy or want to see.

You may not become a Subscriber if you are under the age of 13.

Here is Valve telling parents to create accounts for Children. Because why not?
https://help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/view/6B1A-66BE-E911-3D98
Setting up Family View
We encourage you to create a Steam account with your child.

Do this while remembering that shared Steam accounts are frowned upon.
https://store.steampowered.com/subscriber_agreement/
You may not reveal, share or otherwise allow others to use your password or Account except as otherwise specifically authorized by Valve.

How does one obtain that authorization?

Also Steam's privacy policy says:
https://store.steampowered.com/privacy_agreement/?snr=100601_44_44_
The minimum age to create a Steam User Account is 13. Valve will not knowingly collect Personal Data from children under this age.

So they will do it unknowingly and that's okay?
No where do they say how they know that parents have created an account for a child use? I haven't created a Steam account in awhile. Do they still ask if user is over 13 or if is a child account created by a parent, so they know?

You could just go with EPIC who allows Cabined Accounts: for Kids = legit, COPPA, data privacy

But then IDK how children will grow up knowing the answers to why ladies have big backsides and bigger Hooters. Many of them probably learn on Steam, with un regulated parent controls, where they simply lie to the age gates.

P.S. Wallpaper Engine Workshop is probably worse than any AO game found in Steam Store. WPE users literally share irl human AO with the apps "STEAM" workshop.

That's the largest problem with valve corporation is that it's an unregulated type of business and steam platform activity is not controlled and dictated by their rules and protected by their corrupt laws.
This horse has been beaten not to death but to red goo. Stop, please. Not just OP... everyone. Stop playing taste police and let people enjoy things.

13 is too young, even here in the states. They're gonna end up raising that.

And they won't stop until they outlaw sexual intercourse as a whole. Want me to rewrite that sarcastic dystopian post from before?

What dystopian post? They're not going allow an age where they cannot be legally responsible for anything in this country, enter or agree to terms of service on these sites, before long. Can't speak for yours, but even in the UK obviously an issue.

Good thing the checkbox literally says

Frequent Nudity or Sexual Content Games or content that primarily feature nudity or sexual themes. By ticking this box you affirm that you are at least eighteen years old.

Games or content that are sexually explicit or graphic and are intended for adults only. By ticking this box you affirm that you are at least eighteen years old.

Plenty of people in the US are hell-bent on demonizing sexual activities and sexuality and are hiding behind the "think of the children" phrase. I'm really at loss WHY the sods across the pond are making such a fuss about something perfectly normal and natural.

Well, that's a great question, and you can ask them. My view as an American, is they're on about religion, and safety, anti "woke" and the rest.

But i have to say, seeing some countries across the pond in Europe, they may be even worse. And so, we just have to know what's happening, and prepare for the fact thwese sites are going to be much more regulated in the future.

Must be nice, living in a nanny-state. Would you look at the time, 1984 already.

Well, those are political decisions, and dealt with politically here.

Congress does not have to pass a law every time someone wants to have sex.

And that's one more thing I believe the sods across the Pond are doing wrong. They make EVERYTHING political. And politics make my stomach turn. Thank goodness I wasn't born there.

If you ask the average American Bible thumper, they would outlaw sex as a whole. At least that's the impression I'm getting.
