is this guy scamming me?

so someone friend requested me at random and greeted me and saying that my account is marked as a "scammer" for holding a "fraudulent" item in my inventory and i responded with that they are all legit then he asked me where did you get these items and i said "by playing tf2" and "2 items i bought from the community market" then he said that his friend got the same problem and git banned. he said also that he is gonna contact steam support to clarify this issue and standing there like a witness if this is true or not because if he is not then he made a mistake.
last thinng: he is not reporting me and tells me to stay online. now is he really scamming me?

update: steam support responded to the scammer and they are saying that i am on their ban watch list :(

Why do you believe random strangers on the internet? If I walked up to you and said that you were violating the law and needed to pay $50 to avoid going to jail, would you pay it?

Report the account, block the account and move on. Any user that contacts you about anything to do with your account is a scammer.

Live and learn is all u can do, don't trust anyone online, if it seems too good to be true, it aint true. and don't ever give ur items to anyone under any circumstance

I had this today also, I blocked instantly when he asks about the games I purchased recently xd
