Steam countdown timer for opening game

How many times have we accidentally clicked on the wrong game(or just misclick)? and when that game has opened or started it is difficult to close it immediately and some games come with several different platforms (such as Uplay, EA, Battle.net etc) so you have to turn off or close this in addition to the game..

Could Steam have a simple 3 or 5 second countdown timer to the game launching so you can cancel it before the wrong game starts? ideally, users could enable this feature in the settings and adjust the timer (how many seconds it takes for the game to actually open)

If you start the wrong game, just quit it and start the one that you want to play. It's not like anything bad happens.

Don't force a "do you really want to play this game?" on everyone else. In fact, no software that I have does this.

You can already click the start button again to cancel a game starting up if you click the wrong game. There is a window of a couple seconds before the game actually kicks up.

Yeah, and I've tried many times to click the little X, but the game still starts

Then there's no point in making another option because it does exactly what you want it to do. However, there could may be a problem your end because every time I try to start and exit a game by clicking the button it stops the game from loading up.
