really regret buying a steam deck.....i could make a 2nd account and family share with myself and play both games at once online...no reason for me as one person to have to do this....

You can't play multiplayer games on multiple devices on the same account simultaneously, no.

I'm pretty sure you can play Sims 3 in offline mode and it'll be fine.

Not with the old system, either on the same account or on a family sharing account. Only one computer could run a Steam library at a time online.

before family sharing you could log on 2 pcs and play games on both online.

I don't think you could log into the same account on two PCs at the same time at all before family sharing. Family sharing was added a long time ago.
CRCGamer May 29, 2024 @ 2:26pm
Eh. One has been able to log into the same account simultaneously on two different systems for a long time now. You just were not allowed to be playing games on both at the same time. It was doable from the time frame where they started allowing streaming of games from one computer to another.

Its one of those features that is a little quirky because of network lag being layered on top of input lag. Great for turn based or low input rate stuff on a more portable system while also running a different OS like Linux and not being hit over the head with incompatibility issues.

That is absolutely incorrect. Stop muck raking, you're bad at it.

Valve stopped allowing reviews on hardware when the Index released and the hardware pages were updated.

reviews are mostly worthless unlesss you buy games on steam and thats all they care about. 99% of my games were free or from bundles on humble or fanatilcle so none of those reviews count for the stores overalll %
