Giving negative "No" to reviews, what does it do?
With more "No" on a review, does it become less popular? Wish it was possible to see how many people finds a post not useful, imagine seeing those on those annoying troll reviews...

You can use the "usefulness" as a filter when viewing the reviews, like being able to only see the "most helpful" in the last month.

Except those are likely not useful at all, because people are too immature to use it properly. Dumbass memes and fanboyism will get upvoted more than actual good reviews. It's similar to Reddit's voting system which seems like a decent idea on paper but fails hard in practice.

Does reporting such garbage reviews work at all? Like "spam, point begging, unrelated" are some trash examples

It might. I do report them but I'm not sure how much is being done with it. There's bs reviews everywhere so they're not too busy with that I guess.

If you mean the thumb down, it mean absolutely nothing since several years now.

If there is something actually against the ToS then yes. Otherwise why would they act on it? Everybody has an opinion and even a broken clock is right two times a day. You can't remove the freedom from people, even if they are being idiots on purpose or otherwise wrong.

I really wish those "stop looking at negative reviews and buy the game" reviews were not allowed. they make it difficult to find genuine criticism

There are lots of meme comments like "I'm gay", "Pet the cat" etcetera. Not sure if they are against ToS but they sure are annoying.

You could report them as spam but I assure you that it is going to be given extremely low priority by the mods... There is an incredible amount of people who don't actually want to use time and effort writing down anything good and just type down anything along with their "vote". It has always been like this.

One thing you can 100% report and it is acted on quickly to is ascii art.

It might not actually be a problem -- I wouldn't be surprised if you can't leave a review without typing something, and since nobody is reading the review anyway they might just want to give their vote, and only type something to unlock the "submit" button.

Along those lines, this might just be because it's producing a lot of display clutter.

It is definitely a problem.

1) It distracts from the actual reviews which I am there for.
2) They are not useful to anyone.
3) They are annoying and totally unfunny after seeing the same damn thing for the 9999999999th time.
4) It increases my disappointment in humanity at large even more.

Sure, people try to be funny and copy paste the same "Nobody reads so I'll just say I'm" texts for awards, but games with high amounts of negative reviews usually have them for a reason. Not all bad reviews are "spam", some give you a very detailed explanation why you shouldn't waste your time on a certain game (pay2win, cheaters, bad community) and numbers speak.
