zonealarm? isn't that one of those spyware/malware apps disguised as a spyware/malware removal app?

If you believe your account is compromised, follow all the steps...

Scan for malware. https://www.malwarebytes.com/ or with whatever.

Deauthorize all devices https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage

Change your password on a secure device.

Generate new back up codes. https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage

Revoke the api key (this should be empty) https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey

Fom your screenshot, virus can target any files on the system, game clients are not able to detect these things as they're not anti virus, what they detect is just files that tells it if game updated, or version that basically it.

So not sure what you meant by "Bots" which you said either game start up, or download happens, this suggests to me you have a virus already on your system that trying wait & attack for certain moments to inject itself into your files, which you need to figure out that problem.

Now unless your anti virus had a setting you tick to overly react thinking a bunch of things are a virus that not a virus at all, then likely be your answer to why your anti virus over reacting whenever you play a game, or downloading something, and I seen cases like that which have to report to anti virus company the bug in their software that over reacting to false positive.

I am not seeing any strange behavior from your screenshot. Did you actually capture network information did something try deploy data on your system?

Any bad actor that would use the API would already do so the moment you startup your Steam client and not the game because that means you willingly or under false assumption logged in to another platform that stole your key.

You are more than likely looking at false positive data.

ZoneAlarm is terrible though.

If there a virus keep poping back on it own then means anti virus fail to do it job, but if this isn't a virus then means anti virus is unable to tell what a threat, and only going to keep doing false postive causing just problems for no reason.

It seems Zone alarm has been known to cause problems for years.

Why are you posting a screenshot of the main application screen when I ask for information verification? It tells us nothing and your not selling a product I hope.

Think I will pass on Zone Alarm as replacement.

Why would it even block many times ransomware attempts. What kind of sites do you frequent to have it go off that often. And why are you talking about ransomware and showing a supposed anti-bot functionality.

We can not verify anything, we do not even know what malware signature is detected. All we can say from the info you gave something is detected and your product is in a supposed active state.

Can you show *with required blurring of own IP information and any personal details* what it detected besides simply a arbitrary file name. steam_api64.dll

Which of the Thousands in the steam ecosystem did it detect. Are these same file attempts are they different games?. Because most games will have that kind of .dll at \steam\steamapps\common\"Game name"\steam_api64.dll as it contains Valve Anti cheat and achievements authentication services.

If the information is still correct (which is 3 years old) Here is where you can find the minimal information to even go any further with a audit.
