When is Steam Summer Sale?
I know I could've looked this up, but the dates vary every year and I was wondering when certain games that are new releases go on sale like for example: Dragon's Dogma 2 that just released recently in March, when will it be on sale so I can purchase for at least $60 or $50?

I remember Like A Dragon Infinite Wealth released back in January and it went on sale a couple months later and I bought the Deluxe Edition for the same price as the base game when it wasn't on sale.

Ask the game devs/pubs if they are going to have a discount and if it is going to be more or the same.

Yeah, but I'm asking random people if they know a Japanese company like Capcom will have the game on sale. I've read that they don't discount their games until a year or so. I'm asking if anyone knows from experience. But I'll try checking SteamDB history of their previous games that went on sale.

Only Capcom knows when Capcom wants to put their games on sale and at what discount.

You'd have to ask them, its going to depend on many factors such as sales. Even if it is discounted don't expect more then 20-40% which its already on sale at some places

Well, they're currently having a publisher sale that does not include their current releases... so I don't know. Does the Summer Sale usually include all games from all publisher on sale?

They can still opt into major Steam sales events, if they wish to.

I'm just asking is it common for most publisher on the platform to do so?

Depends on the publisher. Some do.

The problem is, it varies from sale to sale.

The problem is when you ask a question about what most publishers do. And if the question to all your questions is yes, so the picture seems to be it's safe to expect Capcom will put all their games on sale during the summer sale. You have to remember most != all. And assumptions and guesses aren't obligated to turn out correct. Most publishers may have games on sale, many will have all their games on sale. It's not guarantee what any particular publisher will choose to do one or both. If your wishful expectations aren't met there will be nothing you can actually point at to change reality.

End of the day, all you can do is hope, wait and see. You'll only know for sure what will happen after it's happened, IE after the sale ends.

Well, thanks for the obvious cynical answer then.

I believe it starts the end of this month

Steam summer sale usually is between around the last week of June and first week of July. I wonder if after last years boringness, if there will actually be any event or interactive element at all. If not, then I will buy nothing out of principle just as I did last year.

I wouldn't count on many recent releases being in the sale though.

Since people can't be bothered to read the announcement in the first reply...

Steam Summer Sale: June 27 - July 11 (major seasonal sale)
