Rockstar Games is being trigger happy with their listings.
So Rockstar is supposedly undergoing a crisis trying to figure out what to re-list , after they had recently just unlisted EVERYTHING from the Steam store:

This means that games like Midnight Club 2 are now back for purchase again! If you ever wanted to purchase these games but never got the opportunity, now is your chance. It might be worth looking into their currently listed games once again.

Other games like GTA V alone are also now un-purchasable, and yet the Shark card purchases are still there in spite of this? It's entirely possible that some of these de-listings are just deliberate and some aren't. We will have to wait and see what sticks and what doesn't.

Can we have Midnight Club 3? :AI_Dead:

RIP Midnight Club 2. See you again in another few years of never again. I hope some people caught the opportunity to buy it and actually got it. I could have bought it myself but I didn’t.

I wish, but there are probably tons of issues with getting it to run on modern operating systems, if not the licensing issues that tend to plague older games.

GTA 5 is purchasable still its just you can only buy a bundled version of it not just the game itself it has been like that since January.

That makes sense seeing as they are clearly doubling down on the online content way more than the singleplayer content. Suppose the mass-de-listing only made the store page hiccup momentarily before restoring it as it were before then. Most of the listings are probably back as they were before this happened, though I am still curious if there are any changes that have persisted so far, as for what they were *trying* to do with all of this.

I recommend to wait more, more times...

I think that some games now has the same files as the rockstar games launcher version

Check L.A. Noire page

If people got Midnight Club 2 while it was briefly relisted will they be able to keep it or will Steam revoke it?

They will get to keep it.

Wouldn't be any different from someone who purchased the game back when it was readily available.

Supposedly it was pulled due to licensing, so wouldn't that be a bit legally iffy for that moment?

Wow someone screwed up.

Or, a script kiddie their games are infested with finally got skills.

I still can't play GTAV because I want to play on modded servers without risk of a VAC ban as Rockstar are never clear about it... Ridiculous situation and why I didn't bother buying Red Dead.

This current problem doesn't surprise me at all...

What. Rockstar uses the VAC system!??
Weird.

You'd think they'd have their own system for cheaters.
Also, mods for Rockstar games wouldn't trigger any cheating system at all.

Sure. Show me a thread/post by Rockstar clearly stating this on Steam. ?
