That's right. That's why we can't rule it out. It doesn't have to be Nardella, Spencer or Newell spending time denying it, but certainly someone, anyone from those companies could have. But they didn't.
You can rule it out because a rumour is unsubstantiated gossip after all the rumour is the moon is made of cheese and the earth is flat.
Secondly as the acquisiton of Activision Blizzard nearly did not happen due to it being deemed a monopoly you can be sure the company who has the largest user base for a gaming os, Microsoft with Windows, and the largest game store, Valve with Steam, would be definitely be seen as a monopoly.
We cannot rule out anything, being they did not rule it out. And knowing MS did want to buy Valve, by their own official emails they themselves leaked, if it doesn't happen now, i think it's inevitably going to happen.
We can rely on the FTC and CMA, and i do all the time, but on these matters, they have no hope in hell. MS is too big to fail. Too many jobs, and too much money for they to have gotten denied over the A/B matter.
And there are other gaming companies, not just A/B or, Steam.
If they want it, they're gonna get it. The question is, do they want it? And they answered their own question, thru their own emails. Mr Newell is aging.
Therefore, until it is denied by these parties, we cannot responsibly deny the rumor.
We can because the FTC dislikes businesses becoming monopolies.
Secondly with co-pilot and recall Microsoft tracks everything you do on your PC. Every mouse click, keyboard input, programs you open etc, literally everything, and you can thank Spycrosoft for that.
