Steam is being used as a platform to bypass all laws related to CP and hate speech ( hatred of women specifically- r*pe prawn) by any country.

Japanese "games" uploaded to Steam (ptobably not this one which is why I am providing the link) serve as placeholders for patches containing harmful material that gets downloaded after purchase from some private server.

This is ethically, morally and probably legally wrong and seems to have become so normalised that this customer here feels totally ok to post "Does this have 18+ patch?" for a game containing waifus.

I am not replying to the person who posted this specifically because the question is not genuine but here goes:

There is no way to not see them. Steam only allows us to exclude 10 tags and I already have the adult content filter on. Besides, this is not about my own convenience.

This is about telling Valve that some of us are NOT OK WITH THIS and will refrain from buying games here until the degenerate and harmful garbage is flushed out.

You need to communicate with valve not the discussion forum which is just steam players
I really dont understand people that have been on steam for so long that they cant comprehend what a steam forum they post to is

i think this the op simply hates porn and wants it all gone. Valve does have a stance on some of those games. As others have said it why do they have it on if they don't like it.

oh i made a suggestion about this before, basically steam doesn't separate actual games meant for only adults from the porn games , they should be a separate category as in one is just for pleasure while the other is an actual game. heck when i learned about fear and hunger , the second game was out for a long time and all cause i didn't want to see the hentai games

There are games you can't separate based on that. Many of them have actual gameplay.
Examples with party-based RPG gameplay:
- After I met that catgirl, my questlist got too long!
- Memoirs of a battle brothel
- Treasure hunter Claire
Examples with action platformer/metroidvania gameplay:
- Midnight Castle: Succubus
- Castle in the clouds
- FlipWitch: forbidden sex hex
The listed games are just a few examples of games with sexually explicit content AND gameplay intertwined. Visual novels are not the only genre with it.

I'm not sure what you're asking for.
What age are the waifus without patching? Are you upset that someone wants the waifus to be at least 18?

Now I'm just picturing there's a black market for modding children out of games and replace them with adults.

I think games with nudity aren't automatically labelled adult games? Metro Last Light for instance shows nipples. Pretty sure it isn't a porn game. Same goes for the South Park games, they have nudity, even some crude sex. I don't think the South Park games are in the porn section either for Steam.

Admittedly, I could be wrong about this. I changed my settings ages ago to see everything on Steam since I don't really have a problem with it.

The Witcher 3 has nudity. My girlfriend rolled her eyes seeing the game.

The Witcher and Witcher 2 had free Calanders included with topless characters...

Porn falls under either "Adult Only Sexual Content " or "Frequent Nudity or Sexual Content " in your preferences and are disabled by default. By enabling them you also affirm that you are at least eighteen years old or older.

Games that feature some nudity or sexual content like Cyberpunk 2077, Baldur's Gate 3 and the Withcer series fall under "Some Nudity or Sexual Content" category.
