Are there any REAL TIME PvE/Coop games where high latency (200+ms) feels okay?
A lot of PvE/Coop games behave like any other MP game; that is, if there's high latency, the game becomes annoying to play. E.g. damage values registering late, animations stuttering, input delay, etc. Surely a PvE game could handle this by making all these things run locally, and only having to rollback or visibly stutter whenever there's a discrepancy.
I'm sure it's way more intricate and involved than that, but basically I'm saying it feels like PvE games should have an advantage when handling high latency connections.

I think Warframe is mostly OK in this regard although sometimes damage numbers do lag behind.

I mean I used to play HL1 and mods on dialup and that was on a 350ms ping and it was tolerable. Although granted a lot more people were on dialup, and you were at a disadvantage to broadband users. Some servers had minimum ping restrictions to try and even the playing field.

I mean 200ms could feel OK, if everyone else you were playing with had similar pings. But it's pretty slow by modern standards. And most games probably aren't doing the same tricks they were 20-30 years ago to try to mitigate the limits of dialup.

Try Spacehulk Deathwing. VERY slow action, may work.
