You cannot simultaneously say "No" to the questions I posited and also agree with the statement "calling people evil and hinting that they should be killed/punished, isn't an opinion worth listening to." and remain logically consistent.

There is no question of moral equivalence in any of my comments, only in yours. The only comparison I'm making, is between the logic of the arguments. You are the one comparing them morally, that's not exactly making you look good.

no, volunteer mods is a bad move... easily abusable.

we get the same complaints about the outsourced mods that we got about the volunteers

conspiracy stories about members being mods

mods having favorites

none of that has left since the volunteers have and the moderation is worse

the volunteer system could use some tweaks

Volunteer mods often had problems with social justice. our current mod system does, more maybe did, not.

the current system isnt so arbitrary, it has rules clearly defined, a policy, and real, tangeable risks for those who step outside of that.

but this has all been said before... you guys can make whatever rhetoric you want but volunteer mods is an unhealthy direction that only benefits toxic members

It's three simple questions, that can be answered with yes or no. And they were for the person I was replying to, not you, hence the quote. There is no lazy logic, because the post is not presenting an argument. It is asking questions, and the argument would follow based on the answers to said questions. This should not be difficult to understand.

Except it was a fact with the volunteer mods. They would regularly post on the forums, and some of them still do.
