Paypal not accepted in Colombia?
I need some help here because I am at my wit's end with this situation. First off, I'm a venezuelan, and originally made this account while in venezuela. Long story short, our currency is useless and most stores aint crazy enough to accept it, so for years my only way to purchase games was via steam giftcards that I got from friends across several other countries, in exchange for help in certain online games.

I recently moved to colombia, changed my store preference, my steam wallet funds were converted to pesos, and now that I got a job here, and a bank account, I was hoping to be able to finally purchase games on my own now. I don't have a credit card yet (Will need to wait another 5 to 6 months for that), but I made a paypal account and linked it to my colombian bank account successfully.

I try to add paypal as a payment method to my steam account, only to find that there is no paypal option. I try to add funds to my steam wallet using paypal, only to find out that nope, same deal, no paypal option exists.

What gives? I was told by a lot of people that paypal is an accepted method to pay in this store. Can anyone help me? Am I doing something wrong here?

Told by whom?

Maybe ask them.

If the payment method doesn't appear at checkout, it's not accepted.

PayPal was removed as a payment option long ago (for Colombia), if your bank account is from Bancolombia or Davivienda you can ask for e-prepago or daviplata (virtual prepaid cards), also see if you can get nequi which (I heard) can receive money from PayPal which then you can use on Steam.

wow, that sucks, but thanks a bunch for the info Hodman. Indeed my bank account is from bancolombia, so I'll see about asking for any of those two options you mentioned.

If you are on colombia you should use, nequi, creating a virtual card and that is.
