Once you start accommodating them they will start on other things seeing if they will be accommodated with those issues too. That's how Liberals work.
It is like the old saying once you let the devil in your house you can never get rid of him.
It has nothing to do with "adult content" it has to do with them being Visual Novels using 3D Daz Studio assets, when people who are looking for Specifically for 2D visual novels or for another example, 3D Visual Novels with a stylized aesthetic to mimic 2D. They would have to sift through the Daz Studio VN's to find the things they're looking for when it could be much easier if we tagged and categorized those games.
And that's perfectly fine, you don't have to tag them, I'm just offering a suggestion for people willing to help in adding more tags.
I have no idea what you're talking about dude, I'm talking about a video game storefront tagging system and how it could be improved with new tag categories, I don't know why you're going on about "liberals" or "accommodating them".
I'm literally not complaining, I think these games should have a place on the storefront and should be listed, and am happy for them to be listed, but I just think that the tags should be a little more specialized.
Using RPG Maker doesn't make a game shovelware in and of itself. There are some really good RPG Maker made games and even major Japanese developers / publishers use it.
Because Everything has to be made about the liberals. That's how political discourse works. Stub your toe? "THE OTHER SIDE PUT THAT TABLE IN MY WAY!"
Indeed. Any easy to use game making program that allows anyone, even a literal child, make a game is going to end up having a wide gulf in terms of polish, quality, and completion. My own game is a RPG maker project. I don't have a whole lot of custom work, but I'm trying to get the most of what I got access to. While trying to string together both a good game and a dark and mature story that has periods of lightheartedness to keep it from being incredibly depressing to the point where the characters should logically just snap mentally.
Yes I agree, but I'm just saying that the ones that are shovelware, are very obvious they use RPGMaker, (i.e using stock assets, having similar sounds, u.i, etc.) which is why they get categorized in that specific tag, and that's what I'm saying with these visual novels, it's very obvious they use Daz Studio for the visuals, which I know a lot of people looking for a lot of more japanese style VN's wouldn't be looking for, as Daz models typically strive more for a distinctly more realistic look.
But it would also allow people who are looking for these types of games who prefer the more realistic look over the 2D/stylized aesthetic to find them easier.
And I think utilizing the pre-existing "realistic" tag to categorize it that way, muddies up the tags since "realism" in this context typically is in reference to the gameplay or the setting, not typically just the visuals alone.
I'd also want this thread to be as a way for people who are willing to help tag these games, have a general agreed upon tag for them.
That way there's no confusion or mix ups when tagging these games and is more likely for the tag to be accepted.
Yeah but this is multiple different developers/publishers making these daz studio visual novels. I think a tag specifying the game would just be easier to weed them out.
I've been tagging all of them with the tag, but tags are community made, so I'm just letting people know if they want to help me, to use the specific tag that I've been using to help move it along and get it accepted.
Bumping threads is against forum posting rules by the way.
The bump was actually constructive though, adding more context to the initial post, so it isn't against forum rules.
It honestly seems like you're just searching for something to hark on me on because you disagree with my proposal.
Regardless, I don't see why you guys are so hostile toward my thread? Like if you don't care you didn't have to comment on it to begin with.
In fact it would've actually "helped your cause" making the thread be buried and nobody would've seen it. I would've thought then that literally nobody cared and that would've been the end of it.
So you've perpetuated your own perceived "problem". I legitimately don't understand what your problem is.
I wouldn't even need to make a thread like this if proposed tags were publicly available to just view and be voted on or something.
It's this type of behavior that turns people away from making suggestions on the steam discussions page to begin with. This dismissive behavior and condescending attitude, treating everyone with an idea or suggestion as just an "idiot".
