Is Steam safe?
Hi, have you ever heard from someone that his account got hacked or stolen from him?
I use Steam Guard and Mobile authentication, but can i rely on that?

What do you mean log info?
As long as you use your login credentials (username and password) ONLY on the Steam launcher and official web page, yes. DON'T enter them anywhere else and don't ever TELL them to anyone else and you'll do fine.

Steam account are never hacked. They are hijacked because the account owner leaked their login information.

Never use third party sites for item trading.
Those are always a scam.
If your buying game CDkeys, isthereanydeal.com lists safe sites you can buy the game CDkey from.

Well.... anyone willing to put in their username and password into a random login input, is also willing to input their Steam Guard code.

The problem a lot of users have, and that it sounds like you have is you think Steam Guard is or should be some kind of invincible shield. It's not an invincible shield, it's a lock, a good lock. But if you don't use the lock correctly and keep the keys safe it's not going to do much good as lock, and that's not the locks fault, it's the user's fault.

Steam is safe, Valve provides good tools to secure your account. Users don't always use those tools correctly. Users are easily tricked by scams, social engineering, phishing etc. A user determined to undermine their own security because they think it's very important to log into a scammy trading site, or that some dude on discord is a Valve Employee so they better comply with whatever demands being mad can't be stopped by Valve, not really. Valve can't really protect users from themselves and their own foolishness. But that's where most of the risk to an account lies, in risky user behaviors.

If you can learn to avoid doing the worst things that will help you a lot more than hoping some 2nd factor authentication is an invincible shield that allows you to be reckless and careless.
