Steam Tuesday Maintenance - notification please
Any chance on the Weekly maintenance that a notification can go out as a reminder, annoying when you are in mission spend x amount of time just to lose everything you've done

After 20 years, chances are slim.

Maybe you can set an alarm to go off every Tuesday at 5:50 PM ET. I hear them new fangled phones can do all sorts of things like that.

Tuesday maintenance has happened on the same day for 20 years.
Everyone should be prepared by now.
You not paying attention to what day it is, is not Steam's problem.

i know what day it is, but the time is not always consistent, that is the annoyance. there is no warning, nothing!! thus the issue of losing all my work in whatever game i'm in that could be effected by it.

You know what time it is done. You simply don't want to accept responsibility and blame Steam instead of yourself.

You are a perfect fit for todays gamer ... that's for sure.

"Tuesday Maintenance" , is it really that important?

steam servers die every 2 hours every day
*But hold on, now people will come in storming saying its false because valve managed to accidentally keep their servers alive in the last 3 days (Pretending to forget steam servers crash 5 times day).

To be fair and please correct me if I'm wrong but it does seem like it's not always at the same time or for the same length of time. For me I just don't bother gaming on Tuesdays from 3-6 pm. It's mildly annoying and inconvenient and I agree with the OP that a notification would be nice.

ooo nearly had me there with your baiting. I would be interested to hear your thoughts of 'today's gamer' being the wise old sage as you apparently are.
