EA retiring 7 titles including already delisted F1 games
Does this mean that they are saying that we can't even download them anymore?

Only a few sites are reporting this and I don't see any mention of this in the games' respective forums.

Any games on your Steam account can't get removed even if they're delisted. They're yours to keep. You can download them at any time. Anybody else that wants games once they're delisted are out of luck unless they get a key from a third-party.

I obviously know what delisted means, if you look at my profile I have about 400 delisted games. However, developers can and have in the past removed the ability to even download the games, even if you own them.

If they are giving us "ample time to play them"that obviously means something.

Whether they are going to actually remove our ability to download them and play them even in single player, is why I made this thread.

I don't know how much I trust game rant. IGN has the same story but they don't list any games except two mobile games.

They should not give us the ability to showcase how many games we have and even give us badges based on that, if they're just going to remove our ability to even play them. Removing them from the store is fine. Taking away something that we paid for, is not.

This platform and all of the others are set up to where we can play these games, at will. Whenever we want. If there is a predetermined time for downloads to expire, then that should be disclosed and it would certainly make people think twice before buying. Especially games that advertise single player. If you have to kill the servers for multiplayer to save cost, that's fine. If you're going to advertise single player, it needs to mean that.

This is also why people get games by illegal means. You can find any game on the internet and it's always there indefinitely. People who pay for every game that they have may or may not be denied access to it.

If the game server base only to launching it, or to get into the game, then yes you won't be able to play them, games that not server base you be able to play regardless if server exist, or not for the game basically you be playing single player as there no way to play multiplayer online if game server gone, unless they provide option to do lan, or redirect to another master server to do match making, or join lobby.
The article says, you can not download the games? That should be wrong.

You're not reading the information lol. Every one of those games or at least I think every one of them has already been delisted. They are single player, no online. The article suggests that the ability to even download them and play them will be taken away.

I answered your question, and you missed it, so you "obviously' don't know.

I doubt they'll revoke your games because this be asking for trouble on their part which why I doubt they take anyone games away. I just assume they just won't offer servers for the listed games, and if they're just single player games, then possible it might be talking about consoles version.

I didn't misread your question, you're not even answering correctly. No one said anything about the games being delisted. That is a given. I know the games are delisted. That's different than not being able to actually download the games. One more time, take a look at my profile. Every one of those games in those showcases is delisted, yet I can still download them and play them if I want.

The m article mentions digital downloads so it could be console and PC versions. What I'm trying to get across here is a developer can actually remove the depot that allows you to download the game. So it doesn't matter if the game stays in your library, if you can't download it, it might as well not even be in your library. I'm not talking about revoking, I'm talking about removing our ability to actually download and play the games, even in single player.

Yes I understand, just that make no sense for them to go about doing it, and basically same as revoking someone games since they rendered it useless, which I don't see why they need to do such a thing to begin with.

But could wait until given date to see what happens.

These games are losing their online services. You'll still be able to play the single player content.

Since when did the F1 games not have multiplayer in them?
