screenshot delay

since yesterday it takes about 10-15 seconds after taking a screenshot for the popup to show, this happens in every game

I can't say I've had such experiences.. And I've been taking them while reading a visual novel, which means the framerates weren't smooth at all.
Still, it has been taking me about two seconds or three for the popup to show, but definitely nothing around those ten or fifteen seconds like you're mentioning.

What I know is that screenshots don't work in offline mode (which is incredibly dumb), so might have something to do with client-server interaction. That prolly won't help you but nothing will I guess.

Yes, Valve broke it. Wait for them to fix it.

Ah, same here. When I press F12, nothing happens until 10~15s later. The game will freeze for a little while and plays the screenshot sound effect.
But the strange thing is, the screenshot is perfectly taken just at the moment I pressed F12, the delayed game freezes like a bug caused by the Steam overlay.

I think there's something wrong with the Steam servers, has been for the past few days. Screenshots must have some interaction with them, but I've also noticed the market having server errors, as well as many other elements on the app taking a long time to load.

Valve already fixed the problem in the beta version ;)
