Steam moderation has to change

I think the problem is best described with an analogy. Imagine if the mods were judges irl then it would be like this:

innocent person: This hamburger is black. You had it on the grill for too long and ruined it.
The person who made the hamburger presses charges.
Judge: You have been sentenced to prison for 4 years because you murdered someone or you assaulted someone or you commited tax evasion or you used hate speech or you were driving too fast.
innocent person: So what did i do then?
Judge: I just told you. You are not allowed to say anything more, case closed, guards escort this prisoner to his cell.

in the past i have been considerate and professional with steam and its forums, but as of now i will ultimately give steam the same respect and harassment that i have received from steam.

An argument takes place on the forum and only one participant in it is banned. Half the time you are banning someone who was dragged into it. So to him, he was responding in kind as the natural flow of debate goes. The theoretical banned man is told that he crossed the line. He wishes to know what line he crossed. He thought he was simply responding to discussion as a man ought. The moderation system is set up to deny that man his answer and treat him in precisely the same manner as any spambot, any advertiser, any illegal content poster. It is perfectly natural for him to feel cheated.

Perhaps that is the intent of the system, as posters here seem to deeply enjoy ridiculing, harassing, and insulting people like that.

Worse still it has the perverse incentive of causing the forums to exult and protect insinuation and gossip mongering, as those are not crimes, but what is a crime is to be mad at such things.

I understand the scale makes such things difficult, but there is a category error being made here that generates bad will through punitive decisions rather than helping people fit into the community better. Again, the bad will may be a positive benefit for some of these folks.

Alternately, simply add an asterisk to all of the rules: *(Some insults against some people are okay. Which ones? It is a mystery!)

Looking back on it, it was such a stupid time. They actually convinced people that if you have 2 symptoms, which could be anything from a head ache to pink eye to stomach ache to back pains, you have covid and should isolate yourself. Also, no symptoms counted as one symptom due to asymptomatic people. What a embarrassing time for humanity in general.

Dont even get me started on 'long covid'... "I have brain fog, it wasnt all the weed i smoked yesterday, it must be covid"....

That type of vaccine is more than just "a weaker version" of a virus.
This is also incorrect. There were a number of covid vaccines that did it the old fashion, non mRNA way. Astra zeneca being one of them.

Which weren't as effective and were attributed to more problems than the mRNA one.

What's funny is I was told it would only be about 3 months before anyone vaccinated would just start dying. Then it moves to 6 months. Then it moves to a year.

Now it's just "soon".
