There should always be a Win7 Thread
I love my Win7 System and Im glad Steam not killed it yet, just abandoned. What Win7 Users are used to it.
That we now know, based on some beta tester the next update also will not brick the client for us.
What do you think when will be our Death Sentence?
Share your thoughts.

hello
Please i undertand it's fun but imo you should stop talking with this guy and use search on his post history profile by using word "bypass" and you will better understand what requierment mean for him ... i just hope he will get blocked by future w11 update , i can't wait for that ( funny and stupid sentence , heard it so many times last year about the end of the warning by people that would be happy to see steam stop working on w7 for no reason ) xd
I don't know what it is that you think you are doing but that is not cute.

So no one must use a specific version of a os, but if it does not work you knew before that that might have happened.
That is not true. If a game lists Windows 10 as it's minimum requirements we must have Windows 10 or we do not get to play the game.

Im not sure what is worse, the people who insist to keep on Win7 even if it is not officially supported/may easier to have a breach at some point, or a fanatic like you who does not accept things others are saying.
meh, microsoft wont be blocking anyone that bypassed win11 requirements, heck microsoft put their own bypass into the registry allowing cpu bypass and tpm 1.2.

with that said, they cant really stop anyone.

not a single thing wrong with using win 7, i use it to this day, along with win 11.

and no one has to be scared of using it.

i mean if you are scared using win 7, then be scared using windows in general, cause its insecure to begin with.

I bypassed TPM on my Windows 11 install and I have all current updates including the latest preview 23H2 update that just released a few weeks ago. Bypassing the Microsoft TPM requirement for Windows 11 does not prevent people from getting any updates at all.

It is literally just a fake arbitrary requirement by Microsoft. Disabling it does not prevent users without it from accessing anything. Everything in the computer works normally just like users that have TPM enabled. Including updates.

block and ignore him , it's just an .... https://yt.artemislena.eu/watch?v=CdqoNKCCt7A
Thanks for reminder, bidulless.
Nice catch there about his bypass.

Well, while I will not block him, but I decided that I try to avoid the further talk with him.
He directly misunderstand everything I say and twisting around. I dont know why he do this, but I start to not care. And no, I dont find fun anymore discussing with him. At some point It seemed we can talk normaly, but it not possible. I give up on him.

While i understand as time changes so does OS requirements, it would be respectful none the less for shop platforms and publishers/developers keeping said titles on steam to provide the means to acquire ones previous dated purchases from an archive of sorts free of DRM.
Problem is while product as a service remains and both sides can blame the other, the customer will always play second fiddle to the cash cow hunters who prey on them.
hello

True
imo live service game type should have it label here

Or at least sometimes saying "this game use live service feature" but i guess it have a so bad connotation for the game that will use it xd

True, be carefull nonetheless, it can really happen during install of update with setup : msi or exe are just using some script where you can do whatever you want , you have to be aware of that.

You are right. We can not talk normally because you do not behave like a normal, rational, adult person. You wrote comments about how you think you can just ignore the system requirements of games and play them even though they aren't designed for your operating system. Also you openly admitted in this thread and in your own words that you understand and acknowledge Windows 7 is bad and you know that you shouldn't be using it. But you still continue using it (and endorsing it to others) anyway. Both things are completely irrational in every sense of the word.

nice to see the last rufus release working under w7 for thoses who want to use it for switching from w7 to w11 directly by using it to bypass feature ( cpu and tmp ) not sur the old 3.3 version , last version working under w7 can do the same as this one.

well you dont need rufus, but it is a good utility, you can edit the registry yourself, you can use scripts and other ways, in any case, bypassing OS requirements is like fishing in a barrel, its just easy :cqlol:

ya, that and ntlite, to edit the whole darn thing, removing anything and everything not needed, plus adding stuff to make it a smoother install, with less hassle.

then afterwards removing the baked in nonsense, including their crappy ai bs (cortanas younger brother) :cqlol:

True and knowing that all are installed by default, that's a pain ...
No clue why ms have not choosen the other way : install a base os and make all other things "optionals" , but i guess i allready know the answer nonetheless ...
