Window's OS is up 0.39% this month. Not sure why, I guess it's because they're growing at a faster rate than OSX or Linux. Windows 11 is down 2.28% and Windows 10 is up 2.76% for some reason too. So most people are installing Windows 10 even though Windows 11 is the latest.
Though the question itself is nothing but speculation fodder.
A lot can change techwise between now and then. Valve may actyually implement a model that's more OS agnostic.
By the time Steam drops support for W10 only a small minority will still be clinging to that OS, just like it's now a small minority the ones who still cling to W7/8 (0.66% as per the software survey)
If it's because they've ditched W10 for most up-to-date versions (More than 40% of users already are on W11) or because Linux became mass adopted somehow (Thing I'm not as optimistic as you are about) doesn't really change the other part.
Well, we will see with time
And talking about the numbers you are talking about, take them with some grain of salt as they have many bias like the use of a trigger that make them not too reliable imo.
You can find better stats on internet where methodology is clearly explained when it's has not been the case with your numbers.
w11 is more around 30% than really more than 40% ...
And there is a lot of variation between countries.

Firstely:
Apple [OS] sucks. heres the thing:
- Digital Right Managment, that you cannot setup offline because of a actvation server.
The Activation Server can taken away at any time, which you own nothing on any of Apple Devices! See here: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/8430799?sortBy=best
- its the most Expensive Brand on the Planet!
- Much close sourced than Windows Alone did!
- Most Issue OS!
- Most Unoptimized OS!
- No Freedom!
Android OS is also worse than Windows today, still more cost money than Windows Alone but it has still less freedom than a Linux/Windows!
Only good is Linux or still ditching the most beloved Windows, both of those are way longer around the time than Apple OS/Android did!
Windows can anyway bypass Microsoft Account Compared to Apple with Apple ID, so offline setup are possible.
If you think, windows 11 is a good OS, good for you.
Based on the count of "AMD Custom GPU 0405" under the Linux portion, which is 35.06% at current. Comparing that to the Arch numbers which are 0.14% globally, and 8.15% under the Linux filter, I believe we can extrapolate the Steam Deck install base to be roughly 0.62% globally.
This does seem to line up with the install base for the "AMD Custom GPU 0405" under the graphics card portion for the combined/global numbers, which does make one wonder if the Steam Deck is being accounted for, and is just not being included in the "global" filter.
