There is NO point in Playing FPS games anymore. Cheaters has taken over.

What is the point in playing FPS games anymore? Or PVP at all? When the majority of players are cheating? This has become a HUGE F problem in almost every game now, and the devs in most games wont do anything as they make more $ from cheaters, than they are probably making on selling the games, or the in-game content they are selling?. I have been playing FPS games since CS 1.1, which came out in 1999. There was never cheating in the games back then.. actually, there was not even noticable cheating in CS before 1.6, and still, there was minimal cheaters as they got banned instantly if they even tried. Now, since CSGO and cs2.. Cheaters seems to be everywhere, and same with PUBG... played PUBG when that came out, and there was never cheaters back then, now they are everywhere... so.. WHAT GAME CAN I PLAY WHERE I DONT GET HARRASSED BY LOOSERS THAT SHOULD FIND A DIFFERENT HOBBY? as they clearly should not be wasting their time in gaming?.

Since some of your emphasis is on CS, have you tried Community Servers or FaceIt instead?
Third party anti-cheat measures can usually be a bit more proactive against cheaters,
though that's not to say that VAC isn't doing its job right now:

Try less popular games, they may have cheaters but not to the same extent.

Private games with friends/clan/etc. LAN games.

I pretty much retired from online shooters years ago. Once in awhile a friend will bring up a game and we play and instantly get reminded why we don't play online shooters. Best bet is playing with just friends or as others mentioned, offline. Most of the players that play anymore are just kids or mentally unstable losers with zero concept of shame.

OP needs to take a closer look at humanity as cheating has existed since the beginning of time. It has nothing to do with video games and everything to do with society.

I gave up on competitive multiplayer years ago. Too many factors that destroy the fun.

Not just cheaters, but also the hyperoptimization mentality, using tactics against the spirit of the game, there's always people with better hardware or peripherals than you, on console you used to have a mostly even playing field and without cheats but now you can have cheaters on console tho rare, but you also have kb/mouse people infesting games everywhere so you stand no chance with a controller.

Just not worth it, people barely play to have fun anymore it feels like. I play games to chill not to sweat.

And you could see how many people would cheat when the infamous speed hack plagued HL engined games for several days when most users were still running win 9x

to be fair there is in fact a skill level issue with FPS

that skill level issue causes people to cheat in the first place, now i play a fair good bit of csgo2 and i do very well most of the time even vs cheaters, however when there are no cheaters i do exceptionally well.

this skill level issue simply makes cheating the only way those that don't have skill can enjoy the game with people like me, its simply people like me who are good at games, cause more cheaters to exist as they try to cope with any way possible to win vs learning the game, learning the maps and developing skills and the pattern of the game.
