For example, the US version of the pack contains 12 items (as Steam counts them), the same pack in Japan only contains 9 items. But the page for both will list all 17 games as being included.
I'm most annoyed about C&C. Had it my cart when I noticed that the counts were wrong -- it gives 10 items but one of those 10 is restricted and has no image.
Looked further and we're missing a large chunk of what's meant to be in it (store page in Japan lists all 17 games, even counting for the fact that Steam doubles some up -- hence 12 items meant to be in bundle)...
Well, EA lost a bulk sale as I opted to not bother buying any of the other releases either (that includes the 5 items that would have been double dipping). I just don't like being lied to, you know?
Populous and Populous II are not for sale in France on Steam.
For my exemple (in France), the Command and Conquer pack contains only 12 games/add-on.
Thanks EA...
I recently read some info on C&C 3 first game, expansion for it, plus C&C Red Alert 3 and its expansion being on a big discount on Steam. (so NOT in the EA Games store, where they cost more!)
Total of FOUR games discounted.
Of course, news is from a US-based gaming info website. (as most are)
I am located in Eastern Europe, however.
I tried to locate these in Steam Store but all I see is a way to either get the games via recurring EA Play payments (which I am clearly NOT doing), OR as part of a bundle.
Is that due to a geoblock for me!? :(
The bundle seems nice - 17 C&C games for less than 10 Euros, so maybe I will take it? :)
Is it possible I would not get all 17 games, but only some part of that, due to geoblocking..?
Also, likely this limited time discount can end anytime! :(
No dates listed on the Steam Store pages, does anyone know long these EA discounted C&C offers may last?

No problem buying them from Finland.
That's the correct number as some games include their expansions while text list lists them separately:
Command & Conquer™ and The Covert Operations™
Command & Conquer™ Tiberian Sun™ and Firestorm™
Command & Conquer Red Alert™, Counterstrike™ and The Aftermath™
Command & Conquer Red Alert™ 2 and Yuri’s Revenge™
That's 5 expansions so total of 17 items.
Command & Conquer
Command & Conquer: The Covert Operations
Command & Conquer: Red Alert
Command & Conquer: Red Alert: Counterstrike
Command & Conquer: Red Alert: The Aftermath
Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun
Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun Firestorm
Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2
Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2: Yuri's Revenge
Command & Conquer: Renegade
Command & Conquer: Generals
Command & Conquer: Generals: Zero Hour
Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars
Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars: Kane's Wrath
Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3
Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3: Uprising
Command & Conquer 4: Tiberian Twilight
12 is the correct number as explained above.
I know (and even mention that in the snippet of my post that you quoted), but as I said in my post, in my region we only have 10 listed in the pack. One of those 10 is a broken image and its link goes to a regional restriction error, so we actually only get 9 of the 12 items. The store pages for both my region and the US say the pack contains the exact same 17 games, which is obviously misleading advertising in my region as we are missing several (we're missing at least 4 of those 17 listed games).
As I also said, EA have a variety of regional restrictions that affect these games. Not all titles are available in all regions, and the titles that are not available are not the same for all affected regions.
is it making you pay for said regional restricted item?
also im assuming the "EA play" nonsense is optional?
that being asked, i noticed the games being dropped on steam and some of them are great games, though i dont "think" im willing to buy "games" that are simply left as is and ran through a free emulator called dosbox (with a crappy dev edited version that also removes any control over the emulator itself), with almost zero work being done coding wise.... just to snag up some money with no leg work involved, i find that stuff predatory and in many cases (as in games done like this before) they run horribly (compared to original) and the devs almost always never touch the games again after releasing them.
though tbh, if they actually did some work and made them run/compatible with these newer OS's (changing nothing gameplay wise and/or maybe fixing any lingering bugs), instead of relying on free emulators such as dosbox, then i could be enticed to buy some of these games....
Whether it is or not isn't really the point. The package is described and sold under the belief that you're getting all 17 games (e.g., all 12 items). But we're not. That's misleading and potentially a violation of the Unjustifiable Premiums and Misleading Representations Act in addition to other Consumer Affairs Agency stipulations.
But as it is, (and as I've said earlier) the pack lists 10 items, one of which is a visible regional restriction. It's priced, at the very least, based on those 10 items. So even at a technical level, we're paying for at least one item we're not getting in addition to purchasing under the impression of receiving all 12 items (the 17 listed games) referenced in the description of the bundle.
i know that, i simply asked if it was also charging for it, despite not getting them.
And I answered you.
