Steam Window always resized to a slightly larger res than my screen
Ever since the 'new' and completely cumbersome Steam client update was rolled out, and the startup command for the old steam was patched out forcing everyone to use it, my Steam window has constantly been resizing itself to a larger size that slightly spills out of my screen.
All.
The.
Time.
It's extremely annoying and tedious to have to grab the window, and resize it to the proper screen resolution. It's been doing this for months, and I can't figure out how or why, or any ways to fix it.

Has anyone else had this issue, or found a fix for it???

Never experienced this. Guess I'll reply so someone else can see the post and help you out.
Yes, same, man
It is either slightly larget than my screen size, or moved a little to the right. Minimize and open it back, then its normal.
Eevery time, I don't know why

That's currently what I have to do.
I want to STOP having to do that, because Steam USED to function properly before these forced updates that made it run slower, and look uglier...

Are you using Steam Beta or Stable?

If using Beta, try changing to Stable.
If using Stable, try changing to Beta.

Please tell me if that works, or not.

I was using the Stable branch.
I switched over to the Beta the other day, and the window will still resize to spill out of the screen randomly...

Still no word on what this bug is and how to fix it.

I know it's a simple gesture, grab the window and drag it to the top to resize it properly, but is it too much to ask it to just stay the same size without changing itself?

What can we do, my man

You should report this in Steam Beta forums, if not done already.

i have a problem, that the window is weirdly maximized, but the content seems ok. just the border is being off and squished, quite frequently. 1080 resolution

It happens on stable too

Does not matter.
All bug reports should go there.

(There is no "Steam Stable" section, as you can see.)

Sadly it seems to either be a niche problem or one not important enough to address; though for me it's extremely infuriating...
