Steamlink fps issues
No idea if this is the right section but whatevs.

anyways gotten steamlink up and running but seems to be locked at 60fps using integrated graphics ?

testing it using gta5 without playing it via steamlink i usually average 100fps with dips to about 60-70 lowest i noticed.

Supposedly theres a setting within steamlink something called "In home streaming" when you have it open and you can force it to use your gpu from there but i can't see it.

Supposedly theres a setting within nvidia control panel to force it to use the gpu but can't find it either.

I think i have managed to somewhat stablize the fps so it sits closer to 60 more frequently but given i can max the gameout and average fairly decent fps i would see no reason why i can't do similar via steamlink?

From what i gather it just streams your computer to your tv or maybe a 65 inch tv at 1080p is just too much for the 4070 to deal with?

You're mixing up 2 topics here, FPS & the GPU used.

1. Steam streaming doesn't affect the former. The game runs on the same GPU as without.

2. Streaming's indeed limited to 60 images per second.

oh so there's no way to remove the 60fps cap?

I assumed since i was able to run the game easily at over 70fps consistently it should be similar whilst using steamlink.

You can change to a different streaming solution, one that does more FPS. Steam streams up to 60 @ FHD.

which streaming one would be best to go with?

I like steamlink since you just install it on your smart tv connect and away you go.

No real idea myself, I'm streaming with Steam. The only name I remember people using is Moonlight.
