Your account at the moment has a "Red Status"
I was playing Valheim with a couple of friends, nothing out of the ordinary and then I receive a message from bot apparently called Operator Mia ( steam icon, private profile ) saying "I regret to inform you that the account has been automatically suspended by our security system. Your account at the moment has a "Red Status". Your steam account will be blocked in the near future for security reasons. Your friends list has been deleted, groups have been abandoned. If we do not receive your feedback of receiving this notification, the account "account name" will be suspended, and you will be unable to dispuse this. "Once you receive this notice, you need to file an appeal." Enter the command "!appeal" for instructions." which i proceed to do, as all my friends from steam are gone, my pictures, wallpapers, all the steam cosmetics are gone. So I write !appeal, it takes me to some dota 2 link saying i have 10 minutes to write an appeal. After I logged in and it automatically made the appeal (didnt ask me for anything just to log into steam on that link) it says IMPORTANT Do not use a hotmail email address for Steam accounts. To resolve issues with receiving codes: Enable Steam Guard and link it to your phone number. Great! You have verified your device. Your appeal is confirmed ( ??? ) Important Notice : Your mobile authenticator will be unavailable for the next 7 days. Please be aware that you should not change any account information, such as phone numbers, account protection methods, or passwords. If these restrictions are violated, your actions will be considered suspicious and you will need to resubmit your request. This chat will be available for 7 days for your additional questions.

its a scam. your account is compromised.

Secure your account.
1. Scan for malware
2. Check that the email and phone number on the Steam account are still yours.
3. Deauthorize all other devices https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
4. Change passwords from a trusted/clean device.
5. Generate new backup codes for your Mobile App https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
6. Revoke the API key https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey (the domain field should be blank)

no one from valve or steam support will ever message you over steam chat or any 3rd party service like discord, especially for account related issues.

Be aware of fake domain names.
You should only be clicking on
steampowered.com
steamcommunity.com
links

The one you posted with the “-dota” or “.community” should have been red flags.

Enter the command "!appeal" for instructions.

Valve only speak with you through their ticket system, there is no such thing as ! commands. Do all the steps in the first post ASAP.

Also note that, unfortunately, any items lost will not be restored.
You just gave a scammer all the tools to steal all your items, do the steps posted IMMEDIATELY
Do the posted steps right away.

And for God’s sake, ask first before giving all your info away.
Damn honestly impreassed with their creativity. Its not a regular borring methotds
Also you still have that person in your friend list im also reporting him for scam right now that site might have stole all most all of your informations make sure to do everything at #1 says

Worst thing you could do was to sign in using that malicious link.

Take steps to secure your account using the guide in the first reply.

In scammerland, you give up willingly.
So basically all my friends are gone and all the groups I was in and all I had in my list was a category which the "Operator Mia" person made probably which was called Steam Support, and my silly mind thought it was a legit thing. There were a lot of red flags but since it's an account that I've had since forever with a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of games/items/etc I lost my nerve. Really started to wonder if I bought some weird items on the marketplace or whatever to earn such an action.
To even consider it is the scare tactic they use, steam will never send you a message warning you of a ban, they will just ban you there is nothing you can do about it.

sorry to hear about this hope in the future you and others think twice before considering any messages from people you don't know.

next time tell them oh go ahead, it won't matter I will just make a new account, and laugh at them and then put them on your block list and notify what ever system moderator or support is on the platform that they are engaging in scamming.
Yeah guess I'll just start rebuilding my friend list which probably won't happen as most people I haven't seen online in years, that's the only thing bugging me. Thank you everyone for the help, I followed all the steps and hopefully it should be good now
Irrelevant. Remove the link.
I know it is a longshot but is there any way to appeal steam support to find my deleted friends list?
