Well that a big difference from what you're saying, Steam doesn't sell KEYs, you have to go back to whatever website you were looking at that selling the keys, as their prices has nothing to do what on Steam itself.

Again, steam doesn't sell keys as they sell the license directly, hence why they don't run out. if you saw an offer from google it was from another site selling a steam key.
Initial sale prices will almost always last until 10AM PST - the well-known Steam Store Refresh Time. If what you say is not being reflected on SteamDB then you should look at your email as to where the email was from. Discounts within a period of time are unlimited.
Would guess that the people who bought the game would know if there was one or not.
