Helldivers 2 was never discounted as it was just released and very popular so it may had been a discount for another game.

Well that a big difference from what you're saying, Steam doesn't sell KEYs, you have to go back to whatever website you were looking at that selling the keys, as their prices has nothing to do what on Steam itself.

Games on Steam can't run "out of stock". Only 3rd party shops can do that. Go to the shop where you saw the discount, they are in charge of that, not Valve.

uh , the game was on discount on steam yesterday, now I checked google offers, and there was launch discount and those keys are out of stock. but it had discount just yesterday here .. nvm, I see steam managed to have steam fans like tesla did :D

If it was keys on a third party site that were discounted then that's out of Steam's control, which is what Crazy Tiger was implying above.

Again, steam doesn't sell keys as they sell the license directly, hence why they don't run out. if you saw an offer from google it was from another site selling a steam key.

You get licenses here, not keys.
Initial sale prices will almost always last until 10AM PST - the well-known Steam Store Refresh Time. If what you say is not being reflected on SteamDB then you should look at your email as to where the email was from. Discounts within a period of time are unlimited.

Not sure what part of "Steam doesn't run out of keys" is causing the confusion. Steam doesn't sell keys, they don't run out of keys,

You may be thinking of a third party store which Valve is not responsible for.

I have a fun idea......ask in the gamehub if the game had a release discount.
Would guess that the people who bought the game would know if there was one or not.
