Download speed being throttled down?

Ive had issues with download speed the past few days, steam wont download as fast as my connection can handle, from ~10MB/s to <5MB/s. Anyone else had the same issues?
PS. I dont have the throttle down download speed enabled

Yup, same here. 300mb/ps dl speed, but can't break 6 mb/ps on Steam no matter what.

The most common culprit if changing regions doesn't fix it is your ISP throttling bandwidth so i'd definitely contact them.

I get about 935Mbps in speed tests and don't have trouble hitting 90MBps on Steam. Valve pushes a lot of data and lots of people don't have issues maxing out their connections. Although for some reason that fact seems pretty dismissable when people have issues and find it too difficult to consider other factors.

I know I know, you can download full speed from somewhere else. That's a good first step in troubleshooting, but the mistake people make is thinking it definitely proves it must be a Steam issue. Not quite.

Except it's apparently happening to a lot of people right now, so I think it's fair to blame steam.

Also same thing. 240MB/s on speedtest. <1MB/s for steam.

yeah same. I've been trying different download servers. to no help. Frankfurt is still fastest and doesn't pass 700kbs.
