Shorter JRPGs?
So I do like JRPGs and think among games they are some of the best for getting your moneys worth, but I don't always want to sink 50 - 100+ hours into them. What good JRPGs are there that are shorter in length?

This can depend how you play, if want to reply the game, and path choose, and how you choose wanting to finish playing it, or not. I mean most JPRGS games you can finish below 50hrs, but if going that high, or even longer than I assume either you're trying to do everything in the game to get 100%, or near it, or just a slow pace player which is totally fine everyone play at their own pace.

I think my time was like 14hrs or something around there last time I played it on psp tried to unlock everything lol.

There is the YS series those are short can beat them in hour being shortest depending which one you play.

Some of the old final fantasy games can beat less than 50 hrs easily maybe like 10 - 20 hours I think, like FF1 ~ FF6, but for FF7 ~ FF15 maybe like 30 ~ 50 hrrs, just depends what you're doing, you can go over 50 hours in some of the titles.

There is Suikoden but this one not out yet, but yeah good game.

I could recommend disgaea series, but these can easily blow out hundards of hours if want to do everything in the game.

Chained Echoes took me 40 something hours I believe. And it is amazing.

You'll either love or absolutely hate the characters and setting, but the Neptunia games tend to be shorter for JRPGs. Less than 30 hours on average.

Scarlet Nexus shall be pretty short, just like Crymachina.

Now, I have zero experiences with Crymachina and so I can't really judge it, but a friend whom I have gifted it has told me that the game is more focused on the story rather than the actual combat, though, it's simply average.

As for Scarlet Nexus, that one is short and very simple. You could say, your second playthrough might get somewhat boring due to knowing half of the story, but what's interestin about it is the way the story is featured - From two perspectives, as there are two main characters, two story protagonists whom you control and play as.
People have been calling the story weak and I have agreed with them at first.. But after coming back to it after a few months or year upon finishing both New Game+'s, I have no longer shared such an opinion and instead wondered why have they called it weak. It could be because the characters don't have any deep development during the story, but I have still found it very entertaining despite knowing how it ends, but that might do because of finding somewhat of a sympathy within myself for the characters..
Scarlet Nexus' main strength shall be its unique combat and how smooth it feels once you master all of the character's skills.. It's something entirely different than what I have experienced when playing Tales of Arise.
